UI Mods Not working

Post » Wed Oct 06, 2010 11:45 pm

Greetings, I haven't played in awhile and now I have the steam version.

I am loading up the mods I want slowly. After loading up OBSE, OBMM, and the unofficial patch I decided to load up Black Load tips and Daegors Retextured UI. After updating my Archive Invalidation, I still get no change in my game for either game.

Is this steam related?

No, you didn't install the UI mod properly.

I'm running DarN's UI just fine on a Steam copy.

How else do you install it? put texture and menu folder inside the data folder and run the archive invalidation so it recognizes the new textures.

It needs to modify the ini file in order to work properly. Use the Omod installer with OBMM.

The two mods the OP is trying to install do not have an OMOD installer.

To revelations911: I have not been able to find the recolored UI mod by Daeger but I tracked down the Black Load mod. Make sure the Menus and Textures folders have been installed correctly. Try copy/pasting both folders from the mod manually into your Data folder. Do the same with whatever folders are in the UI mod (I assume it will just be a texture folder). Run OBMM's archive invalidation again. And make sure OMM's archive invalidation mode is set to BSA Redirection.

Still cannot seem to get it going.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\oblivion\Data\Textures\Menus\daegor

is where the textures go

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\oblivion\Data\menus

is where the menu files go.

You can download Dageor's from here:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3760

I did try that as for the validation. I am getting frustrated because I do not remember it going less smoothly when I played this a few years back. Again, the only mods I have installed are Unofficial, OBSE and the game of the year addition mods.

Got it fixed .... there was some confliction with the black load file that was stopping the UI change. Thanx everyone!

Silly me, i tought it was Darn UI

In any case, Good to hear you got it working. However having the game installed in Program Files folder can cause problems if you have UAC running. Unless you have XP, but the (x86) suggest you're running Vista or 7?
