The New New Khans

Was a long time since Fallout 2's ending sliders but I think it would be nice with an evil ending being canon for once.
Isn't it always that the good ending is the canon ending?
Why can't one of the protagonists have been a bad guy?
Otherwise it's a very linear pattern IMO.

Well, the "dark ending" usually means that things'll be a lot less interesting all around. Imagine the next Fallout game being set in the Capital Wasteland again - but the setting being that the Lone Wanderer followed Eden's path...

Besides, I think no matter what they do, there's bound to be some amount of dissonance felt by players of the old games - because everyone did things in their own way, but this can't really be properly reflected in-game, because creating consequences for every single darn choice in the previous games would be too much.

That'd be awesome actually, the plot could revolve around the new disease that's killing everything and trying to find a cure for it.
I see streets of dead people and sick trying to loot what they had to buy medicine by the BOS who now under a new rule only allow certain people with passports near their compound and shoots all others on sight.
A truly dark Fallout. So dark that it'll make me sad just playing it... Awesome! :D

Haha, you truly like your stuff dark, don't you? ;)
Well, whatever... I'm fine with'em following things the goodeding, as the case may be. I do think they should start to show things in a darker shade though - but then, again, that may be exactly what NV will do...

If that happened, I think I'd end up addicted to anti-depressants if I had to play a game that dark. :sadvaultboy:

after the trail of bodies you left in Fallout 3, you're worried about a game that has streets of dead people? Why, because you didn't cause it? lol

I love Gabriel's idea *vote*
