Pete Rules

Post » Fri Oct 08, 2010 11:05 am

Some idiot asked Pete on twitter..." before we are disappointed SKYRIM QUESTION: 1)Are Npcs able to jump? 2)Is Kicking involved in the Game?"

Pete replied....."Before we are disappointed"? That's how you start a question about Skyrim you want me to answer? Do we svck that much?"

Lol Pete is awesome. I wish more people would be grateful for what BGS is cooking up right now and show this man some respect. He's kind enough to answer a lot of questions so knock the garbage off.

Pete is awesome. Did that person actually expect a response with that question?

If I was Pete, my head would have probably exploded months ago from all the Skyrim questions he's gotten on twitter. I hope people aren't hounding him too much.

And that means?

Clever and quick witted. Although to be fair he could have easily ran around the office and yelled for a staff meeting. Then when everyone showed up he showed the twitter message and they vote on how to respond. Good teamwork guys!

Bethesda knows there are people who do nothing but troll. They also know that there are millions of people who love them.
Bethesda isn't bothered by trolls/flamers, because for every troll on these forums/twitter, there are 100 fans shouting out how much they love them.

Bungie is known for integrating humor and wittiness into their games and their website.

i really like how big a role social networking has played in breaking down the barrier of communications between developers and gamers.

like when Oblivion and Fallout 3 were in development there were FAN INTERVIEWS and barring occasional dev posts on the forums outside of those that was really all we got. now we can hop on Twitter or Facebook or whatever and ask developers straight up for clarification regarding this or that, or whether or not this or that's going to be in the game. it's really an incredible evolution.

given the number of times Pete's been asked the same things by different people, it's kind of inspiring that he hasn't just broken down and said OKAY NO MORE QUESTIONS.

Imeant the part about the Bungie employee.
The bungie employee- writers on bungie.net are incredibly quick witted and funny. And they have the muscle to back it up.
warning: this is a real example from a real thread. The context is people saying that they did not credit boost in halo reach. EXAMPLE:

I dont understand how I didnt come up as a false positive. I havent played since the 11th and not once have i used network manipulation or reset challenges. The worst Ive done was the Oni mission thing and quit thta becasue it was wayyyyy too boring. Im 100% sure Im innocent of any cheating, and I dont enjoy being wrongfully accused of this. GT- DOA iZ SWAT

?Interesting case.??Your account, "DOA iZ SWAT", was picked up for 30+ syncs of 1500 credits each between 10/12/2010 2:24:30 PM and 10/12/2010 2:41:25 PM. That is sufficent to demonstrate intent.??You claim you haven't played since the 11th, but the account clearly has. So, possibly someone else recovered your account and played without your knowledge. So I looked into that possibility too.??Sure enough, your account was active on a new machine, 18014398509498707306, between 10/12/2010 1:36:00 PM and 10/12/2010 2:50:00 PM. Which matches up with your claim.??However, the machine 18014398509498707306 appears to belong to one "MLG Quotients", previously "xLDx iZ RiPPiN", who you seem to know as you have played custom games with in the weeks leading up to 10/12. This suggests one of two things to me:??1) You did this on an acquaintance's machine.?2) Your acquaintance did this on his machine, with or without your knowledge.??In either case, you will need to take it up with him. I am satisfied that the reset was correctly applied to the account for benefitting from the exploit, and the suspension stands. I will not extend this suspension, as this isn't a case of someone trivially lying.??But I suggest you have words with your associate. (Who, I should note, was also reset.)

the problem with this statement is that "quality" is highly subjective.

a game developer's job is to develop a game. it is not their job - and is indeed an impossible feat - to please every single faction.

Tood and Pete are both cool, but I would really love to see them battle it out in the claymation Celebrity Deathmatch.
