Diverse weapons.

I was just wondering if they will add different weapons. Like ninja stars and spears, and more projectiles rather than just a bow.

Hmm, dynamite?

Maybe let a certain gang of bandits have their own signature throwing axe.

How about Unique 'Enchanted' Weapons?

Ya know, instead of having the super awsome elite enchanted two handed sword that took you hours to get after defeating a super hard boss look exactly like the crappy Steel Two handed sword

I second this. Morrowind had some great one of a kind weapons and armor.
Hopesfire and trueflame come to mind.

The Cresent Blade is the only memorable one that can be considered "different" in my mind.

well i was just using it as an example, but they can make them good, and who doesn't want to throw a ninja star. Like maybe in the assasins guild have a person throwing them?

Don't forget Oblivion, it had many unique looking enchanted weapons. Goldbrand, Umbra, Ebony Blade, Necromancer's amulet and so on.

Well I think we have plenty of diversity between normal weapons with all the different material types and weapon types, especially since it seems like we will be getting new polearms and staves are one handed and we still don't know if there will still be two handed staves and so on. As before, we should definitely get all unique artifacts and maybe even some enchanted weapons also, but there should still be typical enchanted weapons also.

I really think there should be a variety of throwing weapons in the game (I particularly like the idea of throwing axes that was mentioned). Other forms of combat have lots of choice for weapons, why can't marksman? and if arrows are going to be rarer we should have an alternative so that we don't have to resort to other forms of combat when we run out.

throwing stars were not useless, they worked excellently (and for super high level characters were the best type of weapon). but most people don't get excited for thrown weapons because they don't see as hard core as big two handed weapons. plenty of people used them, just not enough to cause repercausions when bgs dropped them. pole arms have not been confirmed, merely hinted at.

throwing stars were not useless,

Useless in real life, damage wise against armor, but still an effective distraction for a melee character without magic.

i want spears. I want throwing axes. I want a crossbow. The more the merrier. Well we know that it have the common weapons from oblivion. We know that there will be perks based around those weapons. So if there is only two 'cool' axes, I will be.... disappointed. Willl I play the generic stuff, sure. Can I mod? Not on my console (there's a lot of us) Will I develop my character based on what I find for unique or cool weapons, absolutely.
But more than numbers, I want QUALITY. The weapons (and armor and staves and clothing) could be nothing more than what we got in Oblivion and I'd still be happy if they are well done. Clean lines. Smooth animation. Purposeful statistics (30 lbs for a sword?!?). If my gauntlets have spikes I want do more damage when I punch. If there is full bell guard on my saber it should block better. Demon face helm could benefit 'demoralize'.
