IIRC, Pluggy never quite handled .bak files correctly and didn't create a .pluggy file when the .bak was created. If you use one of the later versions, v130 and up, it ignores the mismatch and should load the data.

Or you just forgot to rename the .pluggy file that went with the .bak

Nah.. I'm using pluggy 125b becuase Wrye Morph works with it. In theory.. could I upgrade my pluggy to to 135 just to get past my pluggy data loss and then downgrade to 125 just to keep Wrye Morph working? ...

In so many ways, no.

Oh crap, did Wrye add a .pluggy check? He did, didn't he. I never thought of that. *sigh*
That should be a simple matter of leaving the .pluggy file, then. I'll try that later tonight, gotta get back to work for now.

I looked through Morph again, it never checks for a .pluggy file; just a version check (>= 89). Have you tried it with v132?

It worked!---partial... Upgrading to pluggy 1.32 actually let me to open my bak file and retained my morph shapes. Using pluggy 1.32 and using morp the first time I remember not being able to shape into the imperial woman (cosmia). Now... shaping actualy works but only partial. Morphing changes location and inventory but nothing else. Downgrading pluggy results in loosing my shapes once more :(.....

I have a theory... if I could get a modified pluggy 1.25b version( that ignores pluggy fire missmatches like 1.32), the pluggy file missmatch would be ignorred and I would be able to resume my game and retain my shapes...

I don't see why it would work any differently, but give it a http://home.comcast.net/%7Eabolce/OBSE_Elys_Pluggy.dll.

It works perfect and completely! I was able to load my bak file and my pluggy data was NOT zeroed! And morph works perfectly fine because the dll you gave me operates in the same way as the original 1.25b version minus pluggy save missmatch check.
This modified pluggy version should be released :D .. a true asset for Wrye Morph users!

Thank you haama! You saved my 311h savegame, thank you thank you thaaaank you!

No, really I need to figure out why v132 and v125 were different. Could you do me a favor and send me the mismatched .pluggy file, run v132 with it again and save, amd send me the resulting .obse file. That would let me see what the difference is. Send them to haama341@hotmail.com. Thanks.
