Vernon Roche has become the biggest bro in gaming history for me. Maybe even bigger than Garrus!

Console version coming sooner than expected? http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/117/1170652p1.html

Looks like a 360 version has been rated by the ESRB. Maybe an E3 announcement?

What's most ironic though is that there's a Skyrim ad on the IGN page.

I just started the game and so far I'm really enjoying it. Gorgeous visuals, even with ubersampling disabled.

If anyone is concerned about the playtime being too short, just set the difficulty to HARD -- already put several hours into it and still in the prologue section. Lots of dying and reloading :toughninja:

Here here.

He was pretty amusing, I regret going with Iroveth to some extent. Though I felt it was for the greater good in that regard, and who knows. Maybe I helped Iroveth see another side of humanity.

He seems to be the lesser evil out of the squirrels and the stripes so far (just started chpt. 2 on my first play through). Though I do enjoy his and Ves's company so far.

Roche is pretty cool. Even if you side with Iorveth he doesn't stop being awesome.

Iorveth was nice enough I suppose. At least more likeable that that tit Yaevinn was. He still can't compare to Roche though.

Though I do enjoy his and Ves's company so far.

Did you take the opportunity to get drunk with the Blue Stripes? Bloody hilarious. Except for that bit where Roche turns up, that's just sad.

Yeah, you have to go visit Ves, Fenn and Thirteen at the Special Forces building just to the west of the brothel. Either after meeting Loredo, or after visiting the elven baths; I can't remember exactly which.

Roche is awesome - I ended up siding with Iorweth though - grew kind of sympathetic for the nonhumans and it's interesting to be on the other side. Also, they had this chick clad in armor, nuff' said.

For those interested:

CDProjekt has released a new patch that, among other things, removes DRM from all versions of the game (Hear that Beth?) which is reported gives a great performance boost. The patch also includes the Troll Trouble DLC for those who, well, were having trouble getting Troll trouble :)
http://pl.thewitcher.com/patch/

They also released all of the vendor-exclusive DLCs for everyone to enjoy.

It's been said these only work after patching with 1.1

I tell you, CDProjekt has won me over... I hereby forgive them for consolizing Witcher 2

I patched to 1.1 and they aren't working for me.

Edit
Had to run the files as an administrator under security. Oh Windows 7 you paranoid bastard.

I was extremely pissed about the patch until I read this. Awesome move on CDProjekt's part.

However, I'm still kind of annoyed. Was looking forward to continuing my second playthrough of the Witcher 2 today, only for Steam to start downloading a 9 gig patch, which will apparently take eight hours (probably more - Steam download predictions are never correct for me). Probably just because of my bad connection though - how long did it take you guys to download?

Edit: Actually, perhaps my internet isn't to blame. It seems there is something going on with the Steam servers - I got a message telling me they were to busy, and my current download rate is 5.5 KB/S. Anyone know what's up?

Did you know, that Barack Obama got Witcher 2 Collector's Edition from our prime minister as a souvenir form his visit in Poland? That's funny.
