Another Kvatch?

So, I was pondering upon the fact that Dragon's can now ''kill'' towns. I do hope that they eventually repair themselves and restore the to their former beauty.

Along with some new improvements, or a slightly worse/ smaller town than before. :toughninja:

Yeah i have thought about this after reading about "dragons can attack towns" I think it will be more of a case where the respawning guards will fight off the dragons... I imagine everyone will lock themselves indoors, it will be unlikely that the dragons will be able to damage buildings etc. However, OXM UK did mention that you can do financial damage to towns, as each down has its own economy, which you can directly effect with your actions.

That depend if the things are destructible yet, nobody has confirmed on whether it is or is not in the game yet. Until then, I think that Valandil Ciryatan's idea is the most likely

I do hope that is the case. It would make more sense for the towns to just go through a period of re-building when certain services may not be available or something along those lines.
Kvatch was kind of irritating to me because it was a completely useless area after the beginning of the main quest, I'm sure they couldn't afford to do that to multiple towns in Skyrim.

It's possible they could implement something similar to the building of Raven Rock in Solstheim, a certain amount of time passes and new progress has occurred in the development of the town.

i see you there, Mr. Meister~

the way i'm thinking it'll be handled is like - each settlement has core buildings that won't be destroyed for the sake of player convenience, but there will also be a handful of buildings (houses, taverns, whatever) that can be destroyed, and if the player goes back to them later on they'll see the town being rebuilt, and after they finish the main quest and go back it might be fully repaired but visually different.

alternatively this could be a relatively rare event and only happen to settlements that don't really do anything, so the player will walk through the village at some point and be like "okay" and then find themselves coming back that way in the future and suddenly finding absolutely nothing remains except charred skeletons and burnt-out houses. it would be a good motivation to actually go through and finish the main quest if they handled it like this.
