Your own home

I want another house in NV.What I don't want is having a choice with a massive karma change depending on the choice like in FO3.Blowing up Megaton gives you a suite at the risk of Megaton.Saving it lets you still visit Megaton but you get a crappy house instead of a suite.

I've had both houses in different play through, and i actually prefer the megaton shack. Its bigger, got way more floor space, its in a better setting i feel, and to me it seems more of what a wasteland home should feel like. That's just my personal opinion though,...

Except you will never own containers that were already owned by someone else. I think it should be that either all the containers are neutral, or the owned ones get transfered upon the owners death. Usually you would be able to find a place or two that had no container issues, but other places, like Dukov's, I always felt like an interloper. And, it was the place I always wanted to move into.

While this is true, I've been told that you can now sleep in owned beds (Due to hardcoe mode requiring you to sleep) so maybe now you can keep stuff in "Owned" containers as well

Yes, the robot working against his will was one of my favorite things of fallout. "How may I serve you master?? Even though I don't really want to..."

I too enjoyed getting all the different houses,it was a little hard keeping track of where i put everything (armor, items, etc.). Too bad we couldn't rent 'em out or something; when they don't pay rent you could just waste the renters and take their items.

Unless you're a console player, I would really recommend mods.

That's the beauty of mods :twirl: and if this isn't implemented in new vegas......it will be in a mod.

Hah, it sure will be. tbh I ordred the collector edition and saved a few bucks to also buy the regular version for PC. I just have to play it on PC (Collectors edition for PC is unavailable here, and since I wanted that I bought it on PS3. Still, mods make me wanna play it on PC so gotta have that one as well. Lucky me my birthday us a week after release so something tells me I'm getting an early birthday present from the missus ;)

I agree, although using the mod mentioned above, it was possible to have multiple houses, and really improved my experience. Having a shack in this part of the map, a house in another etc. Loved it.

Seeing I'm a console/geck player I added the key to the TenPenny Towers suite to my Megaton house :celebration: but it didn't work completely. The game didn't reconive that i owned both and so i couldn't buy things you the Tower House  But having the owned mod in NV will be great

There is a nice mod on Nexus that allows ya to own Tenpenny towers suite after you get access to the megaton cruft loft. (talk to the butler about prior owner). Then ya
can have themes and accessories in both homes. (Downside is you have to buy for BOTH to have the themes, etc.) But the mod works and no need to fool with the buggy
Roy zombie quest.... just saying.

As for sleeping in beds or cots one does not own. No mod needed for PC users. Simply use the console command...

console, click on item, 'setownership'.

Type that in once the item in question is selected and your the owner.

Works on dishes too.

The flatware kind not the two legged kinds.
