Character body size

Is there any word on being able to choose how your character is built? I've noticed from screenshots that the guy that's in sneak mode looks noticeably thinner than the nord character.

There is speculation that the character sneaking in the Autumn Forest is a woman.

I think it has been confirmed that body shape customisation is present.

It would be nice if they did :D. And not too hard either, seeing as TheTalkieToaster already made it work with the Ob skeletons.

It would be nice if body-size changed with the players skill set. Only people with high strength and endurance should be schwarzenegger-esque, with acrobats and thieves tending towards a slimmer muscular build, etc.

I hope not, That particular feature was tried in Fable 2 and it bombed badly.

Yeah, I do not want my Altmer woman to look like she is taking steroids, just because she knows some fancy new sword fighting moves.

It was actually tried even in Fable 1. It's been a trademark of the series. A terrible feature but LionHead seem to love it...

In the Game Informer Skyrim Issue there is a little word box on a screenshot of what seems to be a finisher saying:
Players will still be able to craft their hero from 10 unique races as the game begins; facial and body features are entirely customizable.

Take that as you will.

From what I've read, you can customize every part of your characters appearance. My character will look as much like me as possible!

I actually though it fit in the Fable series. When I was playing fable 2 I didnt know that you could get fat by eating unhealthy food.....I kept thinking to myself man my character looks fat, lol. Then I looked at him undresses and he had a huge gut....nothing but celery after that, lol. With that said, I wouldn't want to see this implimented in TES but im sure there was mention of body customization.

Yes it's definitely something I'd like to select at the start of the game and have it stay that way throughout the course of the game.

Even though that sounds kinda fable like its still a cool idea. Like your guy is the average size of whatever race you are and then you get buffer, fatter, and whatever magic does.

Oh well. I'm on PC, so mods to the rescue :P
Hopefully it will be like Morrowind's Head system lol. With mods you can have like 200+ heads to chose from xD

Edit: WOW! I'm an idiot. I read "present" as "preset" lol. Ignore all that I said before this:
Yay!

I sincerely hope there will be body customization, and if there is, I'm sooo making a short, fat and muscular man, who will be my dwarf, no not a dwemer, a dwarf. Such as the ones in Tolkien's works. That alone would make this game for me. And maybe I would make a hobbit too. Unfortunately, I have gotten so pumped about this, I'm afraid I will be really disappointed if it is not implemented.

I can imagine you running around with a beard and an axe, getting knee'd in the face accidentally by high elves, and then chopping them up

I've always tried to make my character look like me, and that was hard to do with a medium sized very toned guy... I'm tall and skinny. Now, I can completely replicate myself. :D

I hope so. Hands specifically. The hands in the trailer/screen shots just don't fit my character, they are too burly.

I hope you can adjust height also, on top of your physique. It would make playing a Wood Elf easier if you could just act like he's got some Imperial in his bloodline.
