I prefer the concept that seeing an elf in real life has the same level of strangeness as that of seeing an alien, even if we're talking about a game called The Elder Scrolls within its own allegory and erudition... we have to get the real impression of the word "other" for the other races, not just humans with pointed ears, skin cancer, scally or furry variations...
