Vault 34 armory is filled with expensive gear for you to loot. Its also somewhat challenging to reach on higher difficulty settings, though I still managed to do it at lvl8 on very-hard by giving Veronica some power armor and a ballistic fist I was lucky enough to buy from the brotherhood vendor. She beat the unliving crap out of those ghouls while I stood back and watched.

If all you want is caps without any challenge go clean out the boomer supply hanger's missile and grenade launchers next to the supply vendor, then go into the other hanger and empty all the "armor crates" (they look like normal metal boxes) that are full of combat armor.

It has to be unlocked from a computer terminal. Its a bit of a puzzle to get in there and I don't want to spoil it for you, but you can do it without any lockpick or science skill IIRC. Its the most challenging location I've been in yet since the whole place is irradiated and as if thats not enough its stuffed with "glowing one" ghouls that irradiate you with their special attack. I had nearly 900 rads when I finally made it back to a doctor.

The best place is by far Vault 34.

The bootleg shack isn't bad either. There's not nearly as much stuff, but there is a gauss and a hunting shotgun among other things.

I also like Vault 3 and the area outside the door. You have to kill fiends, but they have lots of energy weapons and there are lots of them.

Silver Rush.

This hands down... Made 3k off it, and even though everything is tagged as stealing I got no karma hits.

(max stealth) all I did was hide, and steal a plasma rifle... killed the brother, then sister...

All in all 3k caps only cost me 6 stempacks, and two stealthboys.

I would not recommend this in hardcoe... at all. (unless you are an energy build... I am not, and could not hit the broad side of a barn with 'em)

There really are no weapon caches in this game other than Vault 34.

That was one thing that was nice about FO3, there were quite a few armories.

The one major difference between FO3 and NV I found was that I was hording almost everything and selling close to nothing since almost anything can become useful at some point because of crafting. I mean, you can even convert ammo type so the only thing that I was really selling were armour and older weaker weapons.

Thank goodness for the casinos or I would never be able to afford on the implants.

ill have to go with everyone else on this one, the silver rush is a good place to get a great amount of money, i repaierd the combat armours and sold them as well as the plasma wepons as I already had some, and I think I netted around 5K-8K probably more but I dunno. Lol I only did that yesterday and I forget already :celebration: And obvcourse theres vault 33, but I can't be much help on that, becauase ive heard that its a good place but never been yet.

There's plenty of good places. Smaller or bigger.

Sloan for example. Two skill books there in a walking distance from Good Springs...
Or Nipton, a whole town you can pretty much ransack freely like the last scumbag.
Or Repconn facilities, main and auxiliary, those are loaded with good stuff.

Just grab ED-E and keep walking towards them markers on the map.

Lol guys I guess you haven't found what I've found. There is one particular cave with nearly 8,000 caps in it, an a rare gun if I remember correctly... What's it called... Something cavern, the one with all the nightstalkers inside. This stuff is behind a 100 skill locked gate.
