Post » Fri Nov 05, 2010 3:05 pm

With my new roleplaying character im looking to immerse myself as much as possible. I wan't to be able to like need to eat and drink, so i've got the Primary Needs mod. I also want my character to be able to get drunk so to speak, are there any mods for this?

Thanks.

It's bundled into OOO, so if you're planning on running OOO or FCOM, you don't need this seperate mod.

I love this mod! Nothing beats going to an inn and dropping a dozen bottles of cheap wine on the table and gulping it down until your vision gets blurry, and soon you start seeing triple and walk in the wrong direction, then you pass out, waking up the next day on the inn floor.

There's also one called "wasted". It isn't 'as extreme' as inebriated and avoids the 'bug' in inebriated where you drink 5 beers today without a problem, then drink 1 a week later and pass out.

Not to mention there's still the bug in Inebriation that when you get drunk and recover from it, there will be npc's in the vicinity that appear to be frozen in place whenever it's really just the husk of their skin remaining. VERY GAMEBREAKING if that npc is someone you're looking for in a quest.

One of the many reasons why I'm not even drinking in OOO/FCOM anymore. I don't want that happening again.

Might check out Wasted once I can look it up on TES Nexus. Just wish there was a way I could take out Inebriation from OOO.

Do the drunken mods make the NPCs of the opposite six look prettier the more you drink? Now, that would be immersive. :hehe:

Unfortunately,no. Most of them just make the screen blurry for a minute or two :( . If you drink enough, you 'might' get double vision or pass out or such.

I never use Inebriation so didn't know about that bug. What does "there will be npc's in the vicinity that appear to be frozen in place whenever it's really just the husk of their skin remaining" mean? Perhaps Team Alpha can look into it for the next OOO release.

I'll try to see if I can get a video of it real quick.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6LmzJDG9DE (Sorry for the extremely poor quality. Fraps isn't too Oblivion friendly)

It's interesting though. It isn't happening as often as it used to. On my older PC, it happened every time I got drunk and passed out. Now, it seems to rarely happen. Maybe something changed in OOO 1.34?

What would be cool is a mod that makes random drunks stumble around town saying and doing random, weird stuff.
