So something in morrowind that always seemed that there should of been a little more connective story line with me was the fail incarnates. Are there any other mention of these characters in MW or any other TES game?

Peakstar is mentioned by name in a couple Nerevarine related notes. Theres a reference in the Sermons of Vivec to failed incarnates in general, too.

Ok so not to get to off topic, but Ane Teria gives you 36 lessons: sermon 12… is there any correlation between her and the content of sermon 12? The whole “king of raqe” story.

Also where can I find a time line of TES history, it’s kind of confusing when characters mentions stuff like “Golden era of the tribunal” and then the next character says “I died a hundred years ago”.

It seems most of the failed incarnates have been lost to history, with the exception of Peakstar. It doesn't help that there were likely many imposters as well. Like that one guy in Suran.

It's more likely to do with the fact that it's a skill book that raises heavy armor and you're getting near the end of the questline. I wouldn't always read too much into things like that.

There isn't really anything mentioned of the failed incarnates other than what you see in game.


There is http://www.imperial-library.info/content/tamriel-timeline, but there are no mentions of the failed incarnates. I'm not sure what period would be the "Golden Era of the Tribunal" either, certainly not recently, but I don't have a better guess.

I'd say their golden age lasted from the time they became the Tribunal until around 2E882, when Dagoth Ur reemerged and kept the Tribunal from renewing their power at the Heart of Lorkhan. http://www.imperial-library.info/history/2.shtml

Well here is a list i have put together.
Peakstar was an Ashlander who was washed ashore near Ald Redaynia. She was found and raised by the Urshilaku Tribe, Although many believed that she was the Nerevarine, she died while fighting an Ash Vampire and became one of the failed Incarnates in the Cavern of the Incarnate.
Idrenie Nerothan was a Dunmer who fought against the Akaviri during their invasion of Morrowind. She once took refuge with the Ashlanders, who told her about the Nerevarine and Dagoth Ur. She died trying to loot Kogoruhn and became one of the failed Incarnates.
Hort Ledd was a Dunmer who lived in Morrowind during Morrowind's war with the Empire.
Erur-Dan was a Dunmer who lived in Morrowind during its surrender to the Empire. He died fighting on Red Mountain.
Conoon Chodala was a former Ashlander ashkhan who fought against the Akaviri during their invasion of Morrowind.
Ane Teria was a former crusader for the Tribunal Temple who later contributed to the Apographa

I think it was Proweler who pointed out an interesting thing: the Failed Incarnates are all probably you, the Nerevarine; they're not fakes, in other words.

To me, that means that although they're your former incarnations, they didn't manage to be well-rounded enough to complete the Nerevarine prophecy. It wasn't enough to be skilled in war, or to be a spiritual leader (like Peakstar), or to be a skilled negotiator and problem-solver. The Nerevarine had to be able to solve every problem, by any means necessary.

The Cavern was probably my favorite moment in the game "Morrowind". It was kind of moving to see the spirits standing tall and proud next to their mummified remains, and passing the torch to you.

I remember playing the first time around, no help guides, and didn’t think to look things up on the internet yet, never heard of the first 2 elder scroll games. I felt completely lost in this huge world, robbing Paul to pay Peter, every person I talk to has an angle or a political agenda and nobody seems to give you straight answer, I didn’t even realize which things I was doing that were part of the main quest line. I can’t tell you how many times I tried not getting corpus disease before I figured out that it were part of the main story line. Finally when I came to the cavern of failed incarnates, everything seems to come together, the game, the story line, plot lines all made sense, I finally figured out my place in this world.

I guess this was why I always felt that there should have been more of connection with these characters, seeing that I always saw this quest as a turning point of the game or a flash bulb moment in your characters life
