Easter eggs, not so many. But references to other games and series? Yes indeed there will be. M'aiq the liar could be found the first time in a hut similar to tom bombadils from LoTR :)

Easter eggs, how about Thors Hammer? I should imagine they'll also be some references to previous games/characters. Speaking of eggs, I'd love to see some Dragon eggs included.. hmm, companions anyone?

Hopefully a good amount of clever and subtle ones and not ones that are "in your face" when you find them.
I'd also prefer it if there were no Fallout easter eggs in it just like I'd prefer it if there were no ES ones in Fallout.

Lol. How come everytime someone says they dont want more easter eggs or pop culture references in TES, they then list a perfect example of one they want included.

For the record, a reference to LOTR in Skyrim would in fact be an easter egg. Personally, the idea of having LOTR related things in TES seems kind of cliche and corny to me.

On the other hand, I think it would be funny to see a FO reference, since they are both gamesass babies and so similar to each other style and gameplay wise. How about a pip boy referenes, or a bobblehead doll?

Easter eggs should be rare and unexpected, so requesting easter eggs... Yeah.

Pokemon References FTW

They've done LotR references before. In the quest in Oblivion where you stop that grave robber, you can find a list of people he robbed. One guy is named Oford (Frodo) and is listed to have that leaf thing for their cloaks, all the members of the fellowship had it. He also had a glowing sword and a ring with red carvings on it.

You got to keep the ring and if you wore it, it looked like the One Ring.

^ Yeah but I don't think Skyrim will have so many of those ^ ;)

I know they are the same thing as references and such, maybe I should have added a smile or a link to my first sentence to make it clear :D

Too bad the protagonist is silent. Otherwise I'd mod in "sniff... sniff, sniff, sniff... I smell an ambush.".

How about a light-saber? :) And a note next to it that tells of how an excavator found it and speculated that it came from "a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away".
