Dark Brotherhood Patron?

Post » Wed Nov 10, 2010 7:10 pm

I am gonna make a new char in Oblivion, and I am gonna make it a Shadowscale and join the Dark brotherhood. I know I can still role play on worshiping Sithis and Mephala or Night Mother, but because the game is more about the gods, hence the Knights of the nine, is Arkay a legit patron for m,y guy, considering the fact his chapel ironically is in the same city as the DB? Help is much appreciated and help me correct my lore :)

EDIT: Oops, thought it was another Sithis and Night Mother discussion.

daedra princes are gods, just not the ones who cut pieces of themselves and becoming very weakened to create the mortal plane (the aedra).

Any who, if you really want to worship an aedra, I guess you could worship Arkay, as he is about the life cycle.

It makes me smile thinking about how misguided the Dark Brotherhood is. Like a bunch of ninjas screaming praise gravity before they kill someone.

But anyway, I don't really know if the Nine would really smile upon a Dark Brotherhood member. :P

As an Argonian Shadowscale, he wouldn't be a member of the Imperial Cult. More likely he would respect the Hist or something.

I didn't say he would be a member? Just that the Aedra would be a poor choice of worship for an Argonian Shadowscale. But the Hist seem pretty popular with the Argonian teenagers these days so I'd go with them. :P

Hist would be the way to go. Whenever your character sees a tree, run up to it and start dancing around it.

The Aedra probably would not be cool with the whole "evil assassin" thing.

Yeah, unless you found a just cause that the Nine would support, in the Imperial tradition none of the Aedra would appreciate your assassin very much. Lorkhan is technically one interpretation of Sithis, if you really don't want one of the Daedric princes. The best choice would really just be Mephala, or stick with the Night Mother/Sithis business.

Just as long as you're not into any necromancy, I don't think Arkay cares.

Arkay is a very neutral god, he just doesn't like it when people mess around with the life and death cycle.
