Will Fallout New Vegas work with Windows 7 x64?

Post » Sun Nov 14, 2010 3:17 am

I have the special edition preordered and I need to know if it will actually work on my system or if it's going to bug out on me like F3 does, I have been trying for 3 days to install fallout 3 and I get the same thing, I install the game it works but gfwl insists I install the patch, when I install the patch I get the "fallout 3 has stopped working" error. I need to know if I'm wasting my money on this, or if it will be just fine. Thank you.

Of course, Windows 7 is the newest OS for PC's. What would anyone gain by making it incompatible?

Anyway, do you have the appropriate hardware to run the game?

Same hardware I had when the game (fallout 3) came out, the only change is the OS.

AMD X2 6000+
BFG 260 GTX
4 GB Ram

well for one GFWL wont be used.

2nd FO3 does run on 64bit win 7, was the error "The ordinal 5360 could not be located in the dynamic link library xlive.dll"?

And the question I could pose, by that logic, why didn't they make fallout 3 compatible? I hear there's this thing called a Patch, it can be really helpful from what I understand.
