A Key Tab

Post » Sun Nov 14, 2010 10:47 am

So in oblivion after going so far into the game and doing a lot of side quest i would find my self with about a billion keys give or take 10. I know you can just drop them but I would always think of that when i had to many keys and didn't want to drop them all in the fear of losing a key i needed. So i was thinking maybe they could put a Key tab in the inventory so you don't have to scroll through a thousand every time you want to look for your repair hammer and so forth. Any one else have the same problem or like the idea?

Or perhaps they could take the Fallout route and add a keyring to your inventory, which when selected shows all the keys in your inventory.

I hope they do this, it would be nice...

They will have a keyring, I promise. I think they saw that issue with Oblivion, so in Fo3 they added keyrings, and why would they go BACK to a worse thing? They wont.

I'm guessing, and hoping, they'll do that, I really see no reason why they wouldn't. I'm guessing that in Morrowind and Oblivion, they never thought of having a keyring, but they saw mods for it, and thought "You know, that's a pretty good idea!" so they did it in Fallout 3, and why would they change it back? It's not like anyone played Fallout 3 and said "Keyrings are a terrible idea! I want to have to scroll through dozens of different keys in my inventory!" It would seem entirely pointless to remove the idea.

Four words: buy a house in-game.

Yeah, because of course, spending all your gold on a house just for keys, is SO MUCH BETTER than having a keyring
