Daggerfall had nudity...

And are you foolish enough to ignore what's actually happened in the U.S market? God of War 3 featured nudity and it sold over 1.1 million copies in the states. The self-regulation of the video game industry is a limitation for porm makers, not hack and slashers or RPG's.

I don't just ignore it, I don't follow it at all (cause I couldn't really care less), but I'm glad you're up on the statistics.

There's no game developer out there who doesn't at least have an eye on the rating system when they decide on the content of a game, for sales purposes. But if GOW3 had nice sales and featured nudity, I don't see why Skyrim shouldn't too.

I'd say go for nudity because it is lore correct. This is the elder scrolls we're talking about, how many gods of six and depravity are there? It's oh so scandalous to have the dinner party of people in huge diapers! Oh wait, go full monty and it might be interesting. I'm not interested in seeing swinging wangs and spread legs anywhere, but baby-gloving all this stuff is disingenuous and pointless.

Government save us if a priestess of the six god has a sermon about hamdjobs. Our little minds can't handle it.

I wouldn't have a problem with nudity, but what I'm wondering is what nudity adds to Skyrim as a peice of art. What does including nudity tell us about Skyrim, if anything? Is there a point to it besides getting more advanced dress-up options and fan-service? I don't mind the nvde reliefs of women in the Library of Congress, or on the statuary, or the nvde statues at union station, but those contribute to the artistic enviroment of D.C, along with deifying presidents. Whats the artistic contribution of nudity to Skyrim?

The argument that having underwear makes the game less realistic is wasting all our time. If you're telling us that your game is less realistic or your immersion is broken because your character has unremovable undies, you are either lying to us or to yourself. You may tell us (and you may even believe it) that it is simply that you want more control over the game, but the simple matter is that if you're going to stare at someone's backside for 200 hours, it may as well be a nice looking backside. Where is the realism of nudity in the frozen lands of Skyrim? Maybe if we go someplace hot i will expect a bit of skin. I don't want my junk sticking to my sword. I wonder if anyone would mind if the males were naked along with the females...
Having nudity in the game will reduce sales. If you want to play dress up (or dress down I guess) there are plenty of mods available to make your characters look like 12 year old anime children.

I'd say Shades is spot on? It's nothing to do with art, it's a computer game.

I personally don't want nudity. I don't mind six, (if done tastefully) but nudity crosses the line for me.

I'm a teen man! All I can think about is the female gender right now, but I still don''t want nudity.

Let's see, we're off the religious discussion and into political discussion. We have some name calling and continue with a bit of country bashing. Add in a pinch of inappropriate discussion of six and we have created the perfect thread to be locked.

And folks, always remember that there are T rated games on this forum and that the forum itself is rated for 13+ regardless of the games ratings.

Another one bites the dust....yeh
