Questions on the Aedric spirits

Post » Fri Nov 19, 2010 4:49 pm

1. Is there anything stopping Mer or Man from going to the Aedric planets that surround Nirn? I know its extremely hard for mortals to get to Aetherius, but from what I've read the Nine don't reside there.

2. Can the Aedric spirits come to Nirn? I had always heard they couldn't manifest themselves on Nirn but then I found these pageshttp://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Ama_Nin http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Jon_Hawker

They also crafted the armor and weapons for Pelinal Whitestrake. I know they can't come and go as they please but I'm just a little confused as to when the can come to Nirn, if they can come to Nirn, and when they do are they limited in some way? You know can they only do certain things? If someone could explain this to me I would appreciate it.

3. This question kinda ties into the first. The other worlds that encompass Mundus, do we know anything about them? Do Mortals live there or is it only the spirits? I ask because we've heard a lot about Nirn, Oblivion, and Aetherius, but I haven't heard a word about these worlds and there properties.

Don't have too much to say on this (curious what others say). But I'm pretty sure those characters (Ama Nin, Jon Hawker, etc.) are AVATARS of the aedra. Not the aedra themselves.

They're part of Nirn, so insepaerable. If Nirn's a body, they're the rib cage.

The planets are stars, of a kind. They're not Aetherial, like the tatters of Magnus, but Nirn-ial. Their fates are sealed, within the Mundus side of the Aurbis. That's what gives them power the stars don't, and that's what makes them a special case of star. Regular stars are ascetic spirits, isolated from mortal Mundus by a rift called 'Oblivion.'

They also crafted the armor and weapons for Pelinal Whitestrake. I know they can't come and go as they please but I'm just a little confused as to when the can come to Nirn, if they can come to Nirn, and when they do are they limited in some way? Pelinal was a hero of the Eight's making. A star-made knight. While the Eight have autonomy, they can't excede their own scope. Infinite. They can't betray their self-ness, but that leaves an infinite plane to exist through.

Like Cosmology says, they're infinite. Who kan say what's there?

Well, in the case of the Nine, they can manifest themselves on Nirn through avatars, such as the two you mentioned, as well as Wulf and Martin/Akatosh.

That is all I care to say for now.
