The DLC

Post » Sat Nov 20, 2010 1:24 pm

I really hope that the DLC is released for Xbox at least a couple months before all other systems. We Xbox users pay a monthly fee and deserve to have our version done first. Who else agrees that this is the most fair system?
Also, any ideas as to what type of DLC you would like to see? I think one that allows you to have a dragon companion would be awesome.

I have a 360 and I said no. How would you feel if PS3 got exclusives? Sure they don't, but that's a reflection on their customer service. We probably will get the DLC first, but that doesn't mean it's right. They still pay for the game, and we pay money for multiplayer content, but seeing as how Skyrim isn't going to be multiplayer, it shouldn't matter. But it probably will, since because we pay money to Microsoft, they have more money to buy exclusives.

Your justification is invalid. Who cares if you pay for online? Skyrim doesn't even have online goddammit.

Absolutely not! Release DLC all at the same time, for all platforms.

No no no no no,just no,dlc is bad bad bad,you do know that before this all LIVE thing we had free content delivered to us?I for one don't want to buy mount armors and stupid things like that for money, little things like that should come with the game already, and if its big dlc's then just release them as a proper expansion like Shivering Isles, dlc's is just a way to milk us all for our last penny.

360 player here. i said no. The only reason for wanting this is envy of mods, or just in spite of other consoles, and these things lead to the degradation of the soul.

Look at it from an unbiased point of view, which I know is oh so hard for too many people.

Would you like it if PC or PS3 players got content months ahead of you? No, you would not.

It's a [censored] way to handle DLC, which is already showing more bad than good as far as it's being handled with most games (Selling half a game and then selling the rest 2 weeks later for 15 bucks) but money talks.

If PS3 users get the game for 20 bucks less, go ahead and give 360 players first shot, but that is not the case and will never be the case. We're paying the same price for the game and DLC as the rest of you but we have to wait and that's a [censored] way to treat your customers.

Its fair because Xbox users sometimes have the occasional bug that can mess up the quest. PS3 users never have to deal with that.

[censored] no. You choose to pay monthly online. It doesn't mean you 'deserve' to get anything before people on ps3 or pc.

It is, of course, difficult to enjoy something if everybody has it. I prefer to eat my bacon sandwiches while looking at pictures of starving children, it really improves the flavour.

Yes, thats why i got an xbox in the first place, because microsoft always get me DLCs before PS3. I cant see any reason why Microsoft shouldnt pay companies for exclusive DLCs or an early release date. If anything the xbox gamers are happy and the companies get more money they can spend on future games. It worked very well with many big games, like the GTA DLCs.

And no, I dont care about other platforms. I just do whatever makes me happy.

It's your own decision to pay any fee, and that's hardly any articulation for why any and all Xbox users deserve DLC before anyone else.

Perhaps I, as a PC user, deserve Skyrim and all DLC before you because I have to handle fine-tuning my rig to ensure that it runs at top-notch?

Absolutely not. I'm not a fan of any exclusive deals. I'm at the point where I don't care, I'll get any DLC whenever I get it. But giving one platform any DLC advantage over another is not fair to the other customers that supported the remaining platform(s).

I own all platforms, and will most likely purchase on PC... with the possibility of an addition console version on the 360. I still think that any and all DLC should be released simultaneously across the board.

This is not the best topic for discussion, so please let's all take a few steps back from our keyboards and breathe.

I'm closing this one down for obvious reasons as I care about your well-being as well as continued presence within this community ;)
