I bought the game at a retailer and the case has no cd key anywhere, so I can't install the game. How can I get a cd key so that I can play the game I bought? The cd key isn't anywhere on the box, I've seen where it is in a friend's box and mine is just missing!

Funny cause it clearly asks for a key to intall in steam. Do you even know what you are talking about?

1. Open the game case.
2. Have a look inside, to the left you got your game manual, to the right your game disc.
3. Now we're almost done here, when you have your eyes on your game disc, move your eyes down a bit right under it.
4. You should see a white note with your activation key, XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.

Easy?

if you dont have a key where the above poster said, just take it back to the shop and ask for one with a key !

Except there isn't. I can even see a mark in the spot where it is supposed to be, but there is no code.

There have been a few reports of this happening on the forums. Since you bought it locally, you can exchange it w/ no problem. Just make sure you open the new one in the store in front of a clerk or manager to make sure there is a code w/ the new one.
