How do you feel about the PSN hack, can you wait for the PSN to be restored?

I heard the official restoration date is May 31st.

Of course, Sony also said it'd be restored a week ago, so I don't know what to believe.

This statement has been clarified by sony today. That is full service the PSN will be released in blocks meaning the gaming and stuff will be out first but access to the PS Store etc will be released later. May 31st is the scheduled date to have the PSN Back with ALL services up.

I own all 3 consoles but my friends all own ps3 so i will be picking this up on ps3

Keep in mind they said EVERYTHING would be up by May 31st. Online should "should" be up this week at least.

Choice D: Like all human beings that count, I play FPS on the personal computer and have never considered doing otherwise in the case of Brink.

Although I am annoyed that the PSN has been down for such an extended period. I'm not for making it into a soap opera, on the other hand.

I'm getting it for 360. 360's are getting a lot of sales now since PSN went down.

I've had it pre ordered for ps3 for months, just changed it yesterday to 360. Not because I dont trust sony or anything dumb like that. It's simple as wanting to play online lol...and ps3 doesn't offer that at this time..

I voted for the 360 because I don't own a PS3. If I did however, I would probably wait for PSN to be fixed. I fear the PS3 and PC versions may be a tad better than the 360 version.

LOL my Ascii art failed.

Anyways, I don't own a PS3 but If I did, I'd wait it out. I wouldn't go buying a new console because I can't wait a few weeks for PSN to be fixed.

Wow, theres alot of reading comprehension failure in this thread. First, i'll just make it clear here

THE PS3 IS NOT SCHEDULED TO COME BACK UP THE 31'ST NOR WILL "ONLINE" BE BACK UP THIS WEEK

Now that thats been stated. If you actually read the latest PSN blog update you would read

"It was meant to start going back online by this past Sunday, with full service restored by no later then May 31."

It was MEANT to come back up with full service on the 31'st, that was their OLD projected date. the current status is NO ETA

Possible that a miracle could happen and it comes up the 31st? Sure. Likely? According to Sony, No.

Several of my friends who own the PS3 are kind of bummed out being that they can't play because of Sony's poor mistakes.

I on the other hand, believe that Sony had it coming when they decided to call out hackers, when KB accidently tweeted the PS master root key, or when they weren't compliant with PCI standards by having an unpatched and unfirewalled network. They should've handled the situation and GeoHot a lot better than they did.

I own both but it's always 360 for the multiplatform games. the controller just feels right, plus the service is better.

In the splash damage forum they were talking about a video of the 360 version and it was already hacked. X-box games get hacked like no other and so does pc. After sonys done with this ordeal, hacking is unlikely to ever be a problem again on ps3. The free Identity theft protection is worth more in dollars then a live subscription is. There is a lot of talk about other improvement to the network, like crossgame chat. Ill stay where im at. As for this may 31st crap, if your feeling froggy jump over to the hacksbox.

+This and this clears that up
