Oblivion mods converted to Skyrim

Post » Mon Dec 06, 2010 1:02 pm

I would definitly want:
Midas Magic Spells of Aurum (depending on the spells already buit-in in Skyrim)
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9562

It changed all the way I play my wizard side...
An outstanding mod!

I hope Bethesda integrated a lot of those wide imaginated spells in Skyrim...

av!

When Skyrim comes out, this is what i want from Oblivion:

I forgotton the Diffrence of this Mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4768

Apparently its Quest Items that you dont want anymore after the Quest is done and its stuck in your Inventory forever: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4810

I hope we will actually have Landmarks for even the Smallest things: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5475

Whatever Character you are, i hope for a Teleporter at each Town so you wont have to go the Distance for something small and go all the way back again: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4298

I Never understood the Elderscrolls Days and Months: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15166

Delete Spells Mod: I hope we can actually Delete our Spells that seems useless in witch the Game has forced upon us since the beginning.

Make Everything Oblivion Mod: Make the Inventory/Setting/Spell Menu look like Oblivion.

Clear Water Mod: Hopefully we can have a Mod for Clear Underwater so things wont have to be so Foggy.

I will wait to play the game first before I think about what mods I may or may not want in the game.

This.

I love mods, but I usually do most of my heavy playing (at least the first entire play-through) without mods - to see the game as "it was meant to be".

Then I layer in the mods to make the 2nd, 3rd, 4th... playthroughs more interesting and unique. Before the 1st play-through, I won't even know what mods I would really want.

First I'm gonna play through at least once most likely twice, just vanilla. But there is one mod I know I will want eventualy wich is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31822. Other than that as alot of others say, I have not played the game yet so I realy have no idea what needs moding.

For me the best mods to Oblivion were quest mods but too wish for quest mods doesn't make sense for now. First I got to see Skyrim's vanilla quests than look for good quest mods. All mods that add immersion and make the landscape cities and dungeons more unique should be implemented:D and mods like OOO, Franchesco's and so on (FCOM). ah there was a great quest named "Adash - City of Magic" originally german "Adash - Stadt der Magie" that would be cool.
Ah and I forgot the names but I played some mods that had a really creepy dungeon and added some location and npcs that were more shady and gloomy a bit more like morrowind and not the bright oblivion, but i like noir games so I don't know if it hits the spot for the mainstream.

To be honest, the majority of the mods that I use regularly are either not transferable (The Ayleid Steps; Companion Vilja is too specialized to Cyrodiil's locations, people, and quests to transition without literally thousands of new lines) or appear to be in Skyrim already (decent bodies/appearance mods, animations replacers, Duke Patrick's/Deadly Reflex fighting mods).

Let's face it, the first mods to be transferred from Oblivion to Skyrim will be the skanky DD bikini armor mods.

Don't get me wrong, I actually liked a few of the bikini armors, and I didn't feel too bad wearing them since Cyrodiil was so temperate and I was in hell-firey Oblivion so much. But they just don't make that much sense in Skyrim! (At least wear the fur bikini armor!) I hope more good-looking, tasteful, and warm armor is released. I also hope the meshes for vanilla armor are decent enough to re-texture, since I'll probably end up making my own armor again.

The game is not out yet, so i don't know what mods in Oblivion i like to see in Skyrim.

Said that, however, I HOPE THAT MODS LIKE Unofficial Oblivion Patch and Unofficial Official Mods Patch will not be needed anymore!...

only if some one feels like converting them, which will probably happen for all the most famous mods. I would rather wait and see what skyrim is like before making up my mind about what mods i want, mods (for me at least) all the good ones usually have a line in the readme txt that goes something along the lines of, I just started out tweaking something that wasn't right with the vanilla and it turned into this mod. the best mods seem to be born out of what we cant do in the game, so I am guessing modders are going to be very busy with skyrim.

Gonna sound silly, but I love the saddlebag and horse reign mods. So unless Skyrim horses come with that stuff by default , I'mma want it!
Simply because I like to at least appear as if i'm a seasoned traveler. :P

Also, better body meshes/textures (Roberts, etc..). Unless gamesas does it right this time..

And if need be, Unique Landscapes and Better Cities. But only if they're "needed."

Oh, and a UI overhaul, like Darn's, if need be. I can't believe how annoying the standard OB one is, even to this day. But the Skyrim one sounds interesting. I just hope they do us PC gamers justice this time.

An Emma companion for Skyrim, definately. Preferably a man this time, but obviously its easier for her to do a woman and voice it herself. Either way, do itttt.

As for other stuff...it depends what I think needs improvement in the game. I may be pretty damn happy with it and not bother with many mods.

It's really early stages to guess what would be possible to do or not, but I would love to see a new Tamriel heightmaps mod, recreating the entire continent at an early stage so modders could have a choice to stay away from Skyrim if they want.
But above all I would like to have tools like a 3ds exporter as long as the creation kit is released, the same for some sort of editing program for the new tree generator, which I believe is in-house made.

I hope Oscuro does work for it again, but I hear he has a job with a game developer now (may have been Take Two, but correct me if I'm wrong.), so I doubt he'll have the time anymore.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Jorge_Salgado works at Obsidian now. I do hope he drops by sometime again as his gameplay visions were always a good read and he's a nice guy on top of that!

Darker nights and dungeons, and probably something to slow down time. I'm not nocturnal, so actually sleeping through the nights rather than ignoring them makes sense to me.

Morroblivion BANNED.

Personally I'd like to see a whole new set of mods. Nothing stands out, except for Oblivion Graphics Extender.

DarN UI. I don't care if the UI is perfect by default, I need DarN's UI goodness in my game. Seriously, almost every singole moddable game I have ever played has had a DarN UI mod available, how do you find the time sir? Are you really that awesome or is DarN the name of a global organization of secret UI modders/spies?
