I think we need Ausir here, to clear up as to: "Did NATO exist"?

I just think we need the search function myself...

There likely was a NATO in the 20th century in the Fallout world, but it probably didn't exist anymore by the time the Resource Wars began, just like the UN.

The timeline from the original post, is this canon or fan-fic? All I know is the timeline from the Fallout Bible, which I don't recall any events before 2051

It is fan fic (as in the title of the thread, the *Unofficial History*).

You can find the official timeline here:

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline

(Includes not only dates from the Fallout Bible, but also ones mentioned in the games themselves). The earliest known post-divergence event is actually in 1961.

Earlier tonight, I came upon this topic *I didn't notice the part that said "unofficial", sorry 'bout that* which got me to look up the Fallout timeline, but I clicked the link to the Fallout Bible (and started reading that). When I typed my post, I wasn't thinking about the pre-2000 history...

I need to think and read a bit more before I start typing

A note on my unofficial histories,

Since some topics in the Fallout Universe, have either an unclear, or no history at all, my goal of adding unofficial histories is to help flesh out parts of the Fallout Story, which have been left unexplained. I do hope that some of my additions to the unofficial Fallout lore may be picked up, but more importantly, I think that they add a bit of character to the game, and futhermore might be an inspiration for mods.

Sadly Thatchers whole goverment was as conservative as her (especially at the height of their power, she only had problems when people realised what a "........" she was). Plus alot of British that voted anyway felt that Labour would = Economic disaster like the early 70's.

Remember this crazy woman won elections while having her hand in destroying anywhere that wasn't the east of england basically.

edit- I wonder how Ronald would of took his mistresses death...

I think Ronnie would have felt that he lost a strong ally against the USSR. An interesting, put impossible scenario: "Assume that following the Falklands War, the "Junta" continues to rule, and the Argentines mount a second invasion of the Falklands, would a Thatcherless British government, have the political will to fight in the Falklands twice?
