Geldal, Enmen, and Ebel and their families were executed by the Dawn, in the Palace.

So, no. Staying was not an option.

And by wasn't tactless, I obviously meant it was a wish come true he died.

I would've stayed in the palace, even the mythic dawn can't get past the entire imperial guard and more blades would be good.

I think they could... They look like ordinary people until they summon their armor and weapons. And they would have a plan to get to the emperor in the palace, not to mention allies that worked in the palace (bribes, blackmail).

that's a fair point the emperor could always run to the top of the white gold tower and chill up there for a while with Baurus. B) OR find the PC sooner and solve the oblivion crisis before it begins.-the gods would surely be able to warn of impending doom a little sooner.

Where is your source that they were in the place?

The courier said they were in separate locations. Separate locations in the Palace? Likely, considering how despised they were on the outside.
