Will you be honest?

Post » Wed Dec 22, 2010 10:40 pm

All kidding aside... the reviews, have been staler than brie cheese.

So many quick to post "negatives" over "positives" - And thus has left a sour taste in my mouth after reading ALL of them so far.

We have all seen the dramatic IGN typicalness of rendering SD incompetent to the least for giving a 6! a 6!? Seriously....Anyways, they gave a 6 for there rating - and now i see so many people following suite.

I feel there is alot of shady business going on in general when it comes to these reviewers and leaves me some what skeptical as to the "real intentions" behind these soft merits towards our beloved Brink!

I for 1 have never been a person to judge a book by its cover until ive read 10 pages in, and im finding it hard to believe anyone can criticize or give any kind of critical review on something they have based sorely of a measly 2hours of gameplay.

Too quick to judge the game for its minor set backs, grasping onto the idea that this game "isnt" like COD!

"Wheres the lobbies?" / "Wheres the K/D rate" / "This game will flop even though i havent played or tested it myself!"

I hear all way too much of this now that its becoming dull.

The fact alone that one reviewer actually "lied" and was caught out completely by "another" sidekick in the crime/review world, for giving a review sorely based on 56minutes of gameplay.....56minutes!

Anyways - Before i go ranting on and on, my general question is.

Will you be honest?

When you get the game - Will you play it extensively, judge it, and give a "proper" review?

That goes especially to the die harders (You know the ones im on about, myself included)....

If and when you get this game, Will you be honest? truthful, even if it turns out "Man this game actually wasnt what i expected".

Will you still bring yourself to tell the truth?

Or will you still over hype the game, known & fully aware, that your lying to yourself.

I sadly have to wait till the 13th, so until then - I will be giving no reviews based on knowledge alone.

There are a "few" minorities here who actually have given an honest (Or so i hope) feedback to the game.

But tell me, Will you?

Always do. [censored] simply give Publishers excuses to release unfinished/broken games.

The word 'fan boy' is censored?

Oh dear this is getting worse.

Hey when I get this on 360 I'm definitely giving my two cents on this.

I'll probably be even more likely to be honest if it weren't what I cracked up to be, hopefully given that i'll be starting on friday it should be a pretty well rounded review... but still. Thats days away yet.

That word has been censored since forever ago. It's nothing new.

Regardless, I assure you that after I play the game for a good amount of time, see the effects of the patch and try out all of the different modes, I will come back and give an honest, well thought out, objective review.

If you read a review that isn't well thought out and objective, disregard it.

And disregard the IGN review too while you're at it. They're not exactly what I would call trustworthy.

If this game turns out to have serious issues, and some people are saying it does, I will unrelentingly destroy this
game and forever bad mouth its' developers and publishers. Let's not forget that they moved the release date up
a full week. That means that they presumably checked and double-checked everything in order for it to be the best
possible release that they could produce.

If there are problems, such as lag and/or connectivity issues, serious glitches and/or exploits, then SD and Bethesda
deserve to be ripped to shreds by the gaming community and the media alike. Minor graphical issues and sound
issues shouldn't be in the game, but I realize that nothing can ever be perfect and I'm willing to overlook such minor
flaws and issues within the game as I'm sure they'll be addressed at some time. But if you're gonna design and build
a game over the course of 2-3 years and actually show enough confidence in your product by releasing it earlier than
expected then you better make damn sure that there are no major issues or potentially game-breaking oversights on
your company or producer's behalf.

Yea - im also Friday...But in a sense im glad this has happened.

Can you imagine if this was a global release - and instead of 50% of the population whining and moaning about minor [censored] - 90% of them were! - 10% being the minority who actually defend the game lol.

This has left a good move for us, because it gives 3 days for everything to iron out a bit.

Agree with the IGN comment. I think they use controversy as a selling tool. Every one who hates their reviews still go online to watch them as they love to hate them  It isn't reviewing if you only focus on the bad.

I played the game for four hours last night on 360 and think it is incredibly addicting. The choice to not have a lobby in a game so focused on teamwork is in my eyes as bad of a decision as Dice not allowing you to talk to teammates in Battlefield, but the game itself is very fun from what I've played so far.
