Mesh problem

Post » Fri Dec 24, 2010 2:09 am

I don't know how long I've had the problem, but I have a bunch of cave entrances where the door is just floating there, with no rock to frame it. The ones I've noticed in particular are by the water. Fatback cave is one example.

I tried finding the name of the mesh, because I suspect it's a corrupt mesh, and I need to delete it from my meshes folder, and let the game get it from the .bsa file. Since it's not there, I can't really find the name of the mesh. It doesn't show up in the CS either, with no mods loaded, so I doubt it's a mod conflict.

Any help in naming the mesh in question would help me a lot. Thanks.

Do you run the Unofficial Oblivion Patch and its Supplements? One of the supplements had this issue, but that's long since corrected. Double-check and make sure you have the most recent Supplement before doing anything drastic.

Oops...nm. I see you mention it shows up without mods loaded. My bad.

The mesh is E:\Oblivion\Data\meshes\Dungeons\caves\exterior\ centrancerockybeachsm01.nif...which is one of the meshes referred to by Decrepit.
The UOP changes this to E:\Oblivion\Data\meshes\Dungeons\caves\exterior\centrancerockybeachsm01.nif. Maybe coincidence or it may be your issue. :goodjob:

I thought I had the most updated version of the UOP, but apparently not. That did the trick. Thank you!
