True, but it was free, so i'll let them off. Again :shakehead:

I was quoting Peoples Champ, Dude. Not you

I know you weren't quoting me but i found a detail and you dismissed it, if you're going to dismiss things you're not going to find very many details

Yea because Morrowind didn't have its fair share of "mistakes"...please.

It had, of course. But that was more gameplay oriented imo... Though a lot of those weren't really mistakes either, more just old gen mechanics. Bethesda abandoned a lot of the lore in Oblivion,
took away alot of it's uniqueness and kinda destroyed a lot of the immersion with level scaling, weird all knowing guards and such stuff.

But yeah i'm pretty much one of those "stupid" "oh my god, morrowind is awesome"-fan boys. Deal with it... And no I don't think oblivion is a bad game.

Sorry, I wasn't putting it down, It was merely a humble request for people not to get their hopes up.

Specualtion is fine, just be careful. Bethesda ends up taking the blame for the creative mistakes of the gaming press.

Could this mean:

- There's decapitation?

BEHEAD???? I′ve read BEHEAD??? Will we have dismemberments???? Is that true? :woot:

what interests me the most is he uses the phrase "behead" i think this means cutting off limbs is in and that makes me happy as long as its realistic

I think the author was using his imagination and got a little over-excited.

We'll find out soon enough, though. :)

for a lengthy anolysis of the advanced dynamic storytelling system.

So to find out about this that may be of great interest I have to buy the magazine, oh well.

I like how he compared Oblivion to Daggerfall, Morrowind was strange, Oblivion straight and narrow just like the good arrow.

I don't see whats so far out about expecting dismemberment. It was in Fallout 3 just fine. Its pretty silly to think they would get rid of that.

Pretty sure Todd was quoted explaining that the gore wouldn't be as crazy as Fallout. Sorry I don't have the source.

But yeah, I'm not against it. I'm just treading carefully.

not as crazy as fallout doesn't mean it still won't be in. He said the combat will be more realistic but less than fallout, getting limbs and heads cut off is pretty realistic

In my opinion, this is all very good info. They heard our complaints about Oblivion and how it was not mystical. The have fixed it and made it in a way that the home of the men could be mystical. Home of the elves can be mystical in what ever way it wants to be and it wont seem weird.

I am really happy to hear that we are getting a second wave of new info soon.

I don't like the whole "drop equipment... NPC retrieves it for you". Maybe I dropped it because I DIDN'T [censored] WANT IT.

Rest of the interview seems cool. I want to know more about the finishing moves and attributes and stuff that I'm worried about, since everything else is all nice and fine.

Does sound peevish if it happens all the time but we don't know the magnitude of the radiant ai yet, could be rarity.

I drop a lot of stuff in a hundred hour playthrough. What can the parameters of this mechanic possibly be to make it not tedious?

Caravans? really? :celebration:
I hope this mean will we see caravans travelling between cities and not only in quests. I would just love to wait by the road for a caravan to pass by and kill its owner to rob it highwayman style

I would love a mix between Morrowing and Oblivion. When playing Morrowind the environment changed a lot in the different regions, you never really felt relaxed when walking around there. In Oblivion the environment looked a bit too normal. Barely anything could surprise you. It was a great relaxing feeling when walking through the world of Oblivion with high graphics enabled, but it indeed missed a lot of adventure and curiousity.

If they're combining both in Skyrim then it will be simply perfect.

I trusted them with Oblivion, and we all saw how that worked.

Yeah they made one of the best RPG's ever made. Worked out pretty dang good huh?

Seems to be some intentional twisting of words here, I personally would have been pretty disappointed if Oblivion would have portrayed the environment in some trippy style similar to MW, it just wouldn't have fit at all. And it won't really fit in Skyrim either. I'll trust Beth in their vision of what Skyrim should be and that it won't be some weird MW style landscape but instead a fitting northern wilderness for the home of the Nords.
