Don't listen to other peoples opinions. We're all entitled to our own opinions and we all have different opinions on things. If you're that cautious about getting Brink, rent it out first.

The game is amazing, the movement is smooth, the gameplay is smooth, the feeling of teamwork is smooth.

The ONLY problem a lot of us are having is PC not having gamepad support...

I think on consoles no lobby system is annoying people but the overall game is awesome for me just want to use my damn PC 360 controller....

A lot of ppl have already gotten the game but are too busy either playing or just don't care enough to post their reviews. Most ppl that are pissed with the game are so upset they immediately come here and rage, so it is likely a lot of the good reviewers are just simply playing the game at the moment. I will give my review tonight when I get the game, I'm at work till 8pm.

You new?

Im from Scotland bud - so i feel your pain, roll on the 13th!.

But take it from one UK'ing to another.

Dont listen to the reviews - even the good ones.

Theres a "fix" patch yet to be applied (Infact has it been added yet?)

Either way - The game will rock your socks off..

Depends on what you think is an issue or not. One men's issue is another men's joy.

What went through their heads when they decided not to include lobbies? I seriously want to know, and this is probably my third time saying this

.. what did they think?

I'm having a lot of fun with the game, however, teaming up with friends is a nightmare.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is usually how it goes for me:

1 - Join game
2 - Invite friend (and pray game doesn't fill up before they join)
2a - Game is full, too bad.
2b - Friend joins, but on other team
2c - Friend joins, on your team
3 - Invite friend to Fireteam, invite again because they didn't notice the invite, invite a 3rd time (hopefully people get the hang of this!)

What I'd rather do:

1 - Create "fireteam" before entering a game, inviting your friends
2 - Join a game with fireteam, DONE!

Or some other form of this...

Again, if I'm missing something, please let me know. Other than that, having a blast with this game!

If BRINK gets a title update for the PS3 and the XBOX360, then they better include some sort of lobby-system, becuase this sounds like and probably is [censored], thanks Voidfox for giving me some deeper stuff on this thing

.. Didn't they promote playing with your friends? How can they expect you too if the games can fill up before they manage to join?

Don't listen to other peoples opinions.

Nothing against its poster but this is a really lame line.
People don't hear a bunch of poor reviews and then go to a movie and HOPE its going to be good. They don't do the same for games. Some people can't spend 60 bucks willy nilly on "hope". They have to make honest decisions based on reviews and opinions. So it 20000aught people say the game is a wreck...chances are its a wreck. Just saying.

Because everyone who likes the game is playing it :P
Wait till tomorrow morning mate, you have to remember the states are like 5-8 hours behind us or something. SO in the morning there should be a decent bunch of reviews from people who've given the game a fair chance.

There are some flaws and disappointments, yes, but is the game bad? Not at all. It's a very good shooter. The gunplay is decent, the parkour is a TON of fun, and the AI is fairly intelligent.

I personally think the pros outweigh the cons but there are some glaringly obvious cons. Some timers svck. Some guns svck. Sometimes the AI svcks. But overall it's a good game. If you like FPS games I would no doubt say pick it up. If you are 'meh' about them, I'd say save the cash.

the people who like this game are too busy playing it. i am loving it. once you get into a game it's just awesome. the reviews are based on playing just bot matches. and yes the ai is very..... stupid. do the challenges to get your weapon unlocks and it also doubles as a training exercise for mp. how in the hell do you rate a mp focused game the morning after it comes out?! they are so far up cod's ass that they just don't get it anymore. homefront was a very well done game, and again they judged it solely on sp campaign.

if you played any of splash damage's previous games you know what to expect. i think this is what the problem is, most of these (console) guys never heard or played them. and everything is a direct comparison to cod. it's a totally different game! yeah there are some problems here or there, but what matters is if you have fun. not what some dude on a gaming website says. most of the reviewers probably only ever played halo/cod(which i pretty much think are some of the most horrible mp games out there)

plus i got a smoking deal on brink. i bought the new vegas/brink combo for 48 bucks. and because i got it on d2d i ended up get both the steam and d2d pre order bonuses. yay!

anyways come to your own conclusion. or wait for a demo. you may love it, or you may hate it. the decision is yours!

cheers!

Yeah, I would love to make fireteams — or hell, some kind of steamworks support for "parties" — so we could all join games together, or not at all.

Honestly, if there's one thing Xbox live did right, it's parties.
