It's a sad day, the game has definitely been overhyped, i mean i had more fun playing ET than this. The customisation is cool, it's not as deep as the dev made it out to be, the guns are awesome, unlocking them in easy challenges is just filler content to be honest, it's like they slapped a reward on it.

The gun customisation is awesome, it's one thing that they got right but still have to unlock attachments in boring challenges.

The game has 8 maps. 8 boring maps, no variance what's so ever, it doesn't even matter if you play against players / bots, It's stale. Sure the objectives are fun but there's no interest in getting back most of the command posts. The MG nests are somewhat useless. The sentry guns are stupid, they work half the time... ( probably just the light version ).

So pretty much Brink is like someone ate single player and multiplayer, felt sick and vomitted on a dvd. Spending 50$ wasn't worth it.

Such a shame.

Again - Im not going to flame you like most people will after me.

I cant agree or disagree with your thoughts on the game, cause i am one of the ones who can admit to himself when something has been overhyped - ive been let down too many times in my life through gaming, for the end result to be petty and pointless.

Brink has problems, it does - Until there ironed out, i will expect alot of these threads, pure and simply because for the 3 years of waiting....I think people expected a little more.

8 maps? That still annoys me, 2 years of game making - and 8 maps lol.

Ah well - roll on multiplayer!

Ahhh this worries me! Still going to get it, as you know, only one way to find out.

But its just good to hear from a standard guy on the forums. Nice to know all sides of the argument.

Cheers for the heads up, and fingers crossed it gets better. (Y)

I keep hearing 8 maps. What about the 2 What if maps? Did I miss something? Is it 6+2 now?

Can't please everyone, it's just that it's a lot of things slapped together for filler content. I had fun playing multiplayer. I'm not denying it, it just that it's been overhyped a bit.

And people wonder why I was so hard on this game. READ MY SIGNATURE AND WEEP ALL THOSE DIEHARDS.

I haven't even played or recieved the game through the mail yet and I've already read more than a dozen posts just like this. I mean, I just ate breakfast...the day has just begun and I read THIS? Already?

I will still play Brink, too late to cancel, but from the sounds of it, I'll be heading back to Battlefield BC2 much faster than I had thought.

In all truth, its Fable 3 all over again. I refused to get too hyped over that game. Expected a reasonable amount but wasn't stupid gaga over it and I have to say I still enjoy it to this day for that very reason. So, if the same truths apply, I'll probably enjoy Brink for what it is, don't quite know. But to all those how bit back at me for saying what I did. Read what others are saying about your game cus I no lnoger have to speak, they say enough.

Yes, always has been

All these people saying the game is bad must mean something, but I will still get it and see for myself.. I'd rather judge it myself than let others do it for me, but all this [censored]ty[censored] has given me some prejudice on how the game will be.. Hopefully it wont be what I now think it will be - I have my hopes up for a good game

I love Bad Company 2. I never expected this game to rival it in any way, just to other something fresh, unique and fun to fill in my FPS fun until Battlefield 3 comes out - not to mention Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Arkham City and others.

This game was never going to be GOTY, anybody who hyped it that much was entirely deluded.

I pre-ordered it and can't cancel now either, but I will play it and enjoy it for what it is. I can't see it being unplayable as many reviewers have suggested.

From some interviews I saw a while ago, devs were saying they have a pretty good system in place for updating the game post release. So, if they're really smart, they'll pay attention to we are saying on here and hopefully implement some changes to make us happy.

Question, the 8 maps (6 campaign maps and 2 what if maps) is that 8 playing as resistance and 8 as security, as in the same map but with different objectives? So there's a total of 16 possible variables?

Like I've said before stop expecting High expectations of games before they come out. I played the game, Overall I enjoy it the Multiplayer aspect of it, It will make for some interesting PUG matches soon, The single player of it, was lackluster - the bots are CLUELESS big time, I lost count of how many times an enemy bot came behind me without me knowing started shooting ahead of me at another teammate having me to be surprised and turn around and shoot it down. overall the game play is solid.

Same map, diff spawn point, instead of destroying you guard.
