6 "Cheap tactics" In gaming history

I'm an early 90's kid and I find the OP's post to be horridly wrong. Age has nothing to do with it, methinks. Just how well versed you are in video game history.

Ditto'd and concur'd.

spawn camping and camping in general is cheap. theres skill and theres stupidity if you know there is a guy guarding the flag and youve been killed by him more then once, why would you confront him by yourself useing the same taktics? that my friend is stupidity, but if your smart/skilled you can take him down and grab the flag thats skill. ok well basicly what im saying is guarding is different from camping, camping is to just hide and get kills, guarding is staying in pretty much one place and killing who ever tries to take the flag, i mean what are you gonna do let them take is while you watch? well back to my point camping is just hiding for the purpose of getting kills, for example your walking by a cliff with a indent in it and as your about to pass it BANG headshot and your dead. spawn camping just imagine your playing the game haveing fun then the other entire team is spawn camping, you spawn 1 second later (litteraly) your dead and take that and repeat 5 times thats when you leave the game. i make it my mission to track down and kill campers, if someone tells me theres a camper and their general location or im killed by one, they're good as dead. thats what i feel about camping

1) Bunny Hopping
Cheap and unrealistic and therefore should not be allowed or made easy.

2) Strafing
Completely realistic and happens all the time and is very easy to beat.

3) Drop Shotting
- Originally from BF2 series and was widely known to be.
It is cheap and only rarely happens in real life and usually comes at the cost of stamina, concentration and aim.

4) Camping
Only legitimate depending on the game. Games where in real life the area would be protected by security would make it not realistic. But if in an area such as a valley where a sniper could be set up it is completely legitamate if not a little unsportsmanlike if not a sniper as thats part of the game.

5) Spawn Camping
Only legitimate depending on the game. Games where in real life the area would be protected by security would make it not realistic. Also if no invincibility buff is given then it is unrealistic as any troops being dropped off would be aware of the surroundings and have time to hide or plan an attack. So a cheap and usually quite unrealistic tactic.

6) Strong Side
Tell me you would not do this in real life? Realistic and quite natural for someone to do if they feel "IN" the game.

This stuff should be obvious.
If its unrealistic in a realistic game, its cheap.
If it was not intended to be played like that, E.g a hack or exploit, its cheap.
If its unsportsmanlike, its cheap. (because after all these are games not real war or schoolyard antics)

I get pissed if people call camping cheap because unless everyone is camping its ok and the snipers whose job is to camp should not get [censored] for this unless they are in COD because they are not snipers there but long rang shotguns.

2) Strafing
- Ties in with bunny hoping, helps avoid being shot (halo and counter strike) Edit: not as cheap as some other tactics, but still seperates the skill gap of players.

4) Camping
- Originally from Counter Strike, "It's a legitiment strategy!" (Originally from Quake according to Puka)
I disagree... If youve been in the military strafing is a form of running and shooting. Camping... When in the hell have you watched any military action in which persons run around an DO NOT stay in one place for either an ambush or because thats where the brass put them?

I saw very little if any bunny hopping until Halo.. I sometimes do it when I am trying to buy time to find cover but thats it.
