Well this is gonna be annoying

So I went to check my world map and noticed that the damn thing won't show anything south past Miridith. So I can't go and fast travel to my home at Deepscorn Hollow. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/tatts4life_photos/Oblivion%20Glitches/ScreenShot120.jpg

You may have meant to put a question or a point in your post somewhere, but as it is you're just complaining about a minor nuissance and, implicitly, reaffirming your commitment to using the mod anyway. Might be better to check whether DarkUI already has a thread you could bring this up in.

If you dont like the map then just DL another there is no reason to use something if you dont want to use it. Me I use Dark UI'd DarN and use spewboys maps for both SI and cyrodil. if you have added cities and or added states. then make sure you get a map that has them included on it other wise they wont be there. Replacing the Maps are simple to do.

Use a different map then.
Like one of mine (linked to in my signature) or something.

It's not that I don't like the map. I don't like that the UI mod cuts off the map be it vanilla or any other version. Unfortunatlly Dark UI is the only UI mod I can use because of my gaming set up. I use my TV as my monitor and my couch is ten feet back from the screen. So trying to read text in the quest menu with the Darn UI mods is hard for me because it's so small.

To be honest I experienced the exact same problem. I just assumed I wasn't going to talk the creator of the mod into fixing the problem so I let it go. On the other hand, I already had decided not to keep using Deepscorn Hollow.

There is also a darkbrotherhood side quest that takes place some place south beyond where the map ends.

I am not sure what caused the problem but using Vargr's maps should solve it, I guess. It too has the elven style.

I too use a 46" HDTV as a monitor, and find that the maps that Vargr created (and listed above) are wonderful and should do the trick.

Open \menus\prefabs\ui_config\map_config.xml.

Edit this section:
<!-- MAP ZOOM - Set the map zoom - Higher value = http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1119308-well-this-is-gonna-be-annoying/zoom out - Lower value = zoom in 300 = 0.5 200 = Normal 100 = 2x NOTE: I recommend to not zoom out more than 100 else it will get hard to hit objects for fasttravel 150 seems to be a good value DO NOT GO LOWER THAN 60! If you do you will have a hole on the side of your map, 60 = no sideway scrolling	--> <_worldmapzoom> 150

Save the file.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! That fixed it just fine.

I'll check out Vargr's maps too at some point. I never downloaded them because I didn't have any of the mods mentioned in the thread. So I didn't think about trying them out.

Then I probably wouldn't bother if I was you.
On the other hand I think there are a couple of other map mods out there that extend the map even further, that might be another way (other than the fix you already got) to simply avoid the problem of map boarders.
