Just a thought for a DLC...

Post » Mon Jan 17, 2011 11:43 am

With all the Dragons,I'm thinking of a floating continent in the sky.

Story:
Skyrim is being attacked by an unusal amount of Dragons coming from the same area and you are sent to investigate. You find out that Dragons fly down from the same exact spot every morning and fly up every night at that spot. You have to manage to tame your own Dragon and find where the Dragons are originating from. You discover a floating continent above the clouds. You have to make your way through the new area fighting Dragons and other new creatures. On the far end of the continent, there is a castle occupied by a Dragon God, who you will have to kill to complete your Quest. Also some side-quests will be possible, like Shivering Isles.

What do you think about this? It might need some things here and there. Just an thought...

Its not a horrible idea, but I dunno about a whole continent. I loved the floating ministry in Morrowind's Vivec. Even though the location wasnt very large, and didnt have much to do there I just loved the mystery behind the floating rock. I def wouldnt mind seeing something like this return in Skyrim, if not a completely different concept.

I just like floating areas haha.

...no.
You can't "tame" a dragon. You can't "ride" a dragon. Dragons are intelligent beings, not animals.

This. There will be no dragon 'taming' or 'riding'. It doesn't make sense.

1. Game isn't out yet. Why are you suggesting DLC?

2. You basically described the plot of the game as we know it anyways.

1. Just passing the time away

2. I don't know much about the plot, this was entirely done as "new" to me.

Since I did a post about would you rather ride a dragon or a horse in skyrim. I found out that no one cares about riding a dragon so i think this idea would fail.
But I like it !!!!!

What you just quoted answered your question.
All I know is that you are a "dragonborn",starting out in a jail, and gaining "dragon shouts" from killing dragons. Thats all I know. Never even seen or heard about Dovahkiin and Alduin...

Lurk and learn my friend. Or at the very, very least, watch the videos. There have also been many great threads/compilations of what we know and think we know up to certain points. Welcome to the forums btw, but not the best first impression.

Your idea to me is like if the Oblivion DLC involved a town being continuously attacked by daedra and you have to rescue them and oh wait you're already doing that everywhere else.

Another dlc thread, another chance to say go underground, no going over areas in previous games, no potential conflict with future games, and there's extra game without overcrowding the map. At least in this thread, the OP's idea is in a way the opposite of mine.
