I re-installed oblivion about a week ago, and when I go on to my toon, everyone who is not wearing something on their hands has no hands! So I decided to do a bit of testing. I found out that whenever you have no item in a certain item slot, chest for example, you will no longer have a chest. Yet the head doesent matter. :confused:
It's not a mod, it's something in my files, but I have no idea where to search. Please help.

Load order? When you re-installed did you completely remove Oblivion first or just re-install over top of an existing installation? I ask this because just re-installing will not remove any mods you had installed.

edit. A fresh install with no mods will not have eg. a Oblivion\data\meshes folder. Vanilla resources are contained in bsa files in Oblivion\data

It sounds like the mod is over writting the meshes, did you keep a back up mesh folder?.
And did you have a body mod installed previously, as wetblanket said if you don't do a full uninstall, and start a fresh game things can go wrong.

Next time you mod keep the zipped mod files in a seperate folder or save them to disk, and keep a back up of your data folder, with your load order as well.

Ah, thank you, I will start looking in my meshes. I'll update this post if I fixed it. And I had it before I re-installed it.




I can't find any way of getting these body parts back, but I recently discovered it is only male NPC's that have this problem.
