5 Most Evil Mortals in Tamrielic History

Post » Mon Jan 31, 2011 10:07 pm

Sure there are some nice people, but they're quite rare, if you're not including the ancestor worshipers in Morrowind.

Those ancesor worshipers are by far the cleanest bunch in Tamriel. Golly, they're swell.

But they are the same person whether you like it or not, just because he svckS in Oblivion he is still the same as the one in Daggerfall. and he will be until we get told otherwise, (i havent played Daggerfall but i was also kind of disapointed after i fought him in OB).

Not really. The only proof we have is present in a few books in Oblivion and his own claim to fame. Doesn't really mean anything. From a lore perspective, I could write a bunch of books saying I'm the fusion reincarnation of Napoleon Boneparte, Jim Morrison, Luke Skywalker, and Solid Snake and tell someone trying to kill me the same. It doesn't mean I am.

I'm glad Bethesda was obscure. They probably intended for him to be, but were hesitant, and didn't make irrefutable proof present in Oblivion in case the community (inevitably) found out that Mannimarco is a pushover.

Read the book, "Warp to the West." There were 7 Worm Kings, IIRC.

But he had alot of skills, not everyone can go and burn down guildhalls or go one on one against a skillfull mage and after killing him still have enough surplus to turn him into a zombie(the Mage i refer to is Mucianus Allias he was a spy for Arch Mage Traven). ;)

None are really evil... The Worm King wants Arkay out of the way and the Mages' Guild as well.

I agree, the Mannimarco in Oblivion is NOT, I repeat NOT, the same guy as the King of Worms. Atleast not in my mind.
The King of Worms was one helluva cool guy... Sure, most believe Necromancers to be evil people who animate dead bodies and skeletons into their own armies that they will use to burn and destroy villages but that is a very naive point of view.
Most Necromancers stay in their caves, researching, philosophing and discussing. Their undead guardians are just there to get people to leave them in peace since they are more like scholars than warriors. Ofcourse, now and then a stupid dimvitted adventurer has to stomp in and slaughter everyone, claiming to be a "great hero".
The King of Worms helps them in their endevours for a small price, they have to serve him and their undead shall help him when it is needed.

So no, Necromancers and the King of Worms are not evil, atleast not more evil than much other folks around. Orvas Dren is atleast someone I regard as evil, mafia bosses are not my personal favorites...

His writings are theories on godhood are astounding to say the least. Sure, call him a heretic, which he definitely is, but he's also one of the most powerful, intelligent people in the TES universe. Just the fact that he single-handedly broke the Law of an Aedroth and ascended to godhood as simple as one would cross the street makes him amazing.

Hey guys, this is my first post, but I have been following this thread as well as many others on this forum. I figured that I'd give my little two cents :)

To begin with, I have seen that most of the debate on this thread is whether or not the King/God of Worms is evil. This topic, if I am correct, is what are the five most evil mortals in the history of the Elder Scrolls. I do believe that the King of Worms was in fact immortal in the fact that he was/is a lich. Also, Jagar Tharn seems like he would be the most evil, but I would also count him as a lich, as he was able to store his life force into a sort of phylantery, and was only destroyed when the eternal champion destroyed the gem. (please excuse my spelling and forgetfulness. Off of topic, neither daedra nor aedra are good or evil.

I don't remember DF Mannimarco ever helping me with his undead. Every time I visited him I had to slaughter the horde of undead he had, and one time he had a zombie attack me in order to send a letter. Hell, I'm pretty sure my only work with him was helping get some lich's soul and helping along some political machinations by delivering a letter.

edit1: DF Mannimarco had, if anything, the utmost disregard for the safety of the player character.

I thought the KoW apologized for his pets when you first meet him. Long time ago, perhaps I forget. I will say that KoW was my most memorable encounter in DF. I thought he was a help in furthering the story, giving me some aid and being an interesting character.
