What is Your Default Class?

Post » Fri Feb 04, 2011 2:35 am

Simple question: What is your default (go-to) class? I picked Engineer because I like to think that I am a good defender and it's pretty entertaining (somehow) to buff my own gun. Poll will be up shortly. :)

I always go medic. Chances are there wont be enough so theres always opportunities to play a very important role on the team. Reviving teammates near choke points during a push or during clutch moments is always satisfying. The only thing I'd like to see is more use of communication, I play on Xbox and it hasnt been very prevalent yet. Headsets are crucial for a team game like this.

Medic.Medic all the way.Mostly Because Of the Fact that It makes you One Of the Important members Of the Group, you're the Only one that can save your Team From Death.Thats Way More Important to me Than getting a Bomb Planted...(Plus it has good XP.)

I love medic but since i am on PS3 I cant play online yet. I am starting to gravitate more toward Eng for singleplayer just for the fact that there are more "fun" objectives, not just reviving people. However, once i get to play online I know that i will start to like Medic more and more, playing God for my team =P. Ahh how i love the heavy medic...

Well there is, but it sort of seems too generic to be as kewl as an ep1c iPhone carrying Assassin. :D

I've got a default operative. I'm still getting used to the right mix of infiltration and backing up my team in primary objectives. I've been going around taking back command posts and I think I'm gonna get some engineer levels so that I can take them, then make them super defensible. In related news, could anybody here help me out with command posts? Other than being able to change class at them and get refreshed and reloaded, is there an ongoing team tactical benefit? I'd even appreciate a PM so I don't derail the topic.

At first I was going with Operative but then I thought to myself "Hmm since its the first week not many people will be using land mines and Operatives are not really useful unless its for the objective" so I changed it to Medic

Heavy Engineer, power through a couple enemies, set up a turret dig in and set the edge of the battle further to their spawn/objective. Defend objectives by making a turret trap, land mine in the position the enemy would flank the turret etc. or just the landmine on the objective.

Medic I like to use the nade launcher, indirect means of fire really help the team, especially when not many sources of indirect fire exist-def need a pocket soldier or two though to make it rain tho.

(Dunno if we were against bots, or if they were just stupid-guessing bots, anyway we'd trapped them in this hall basically killing off wave after wave of enemies spawn camp style as heavy engi)

Operative :D very fun to use a light body type and sticky nades. Constant suppressed SMG fire is GREAT harassment.
