Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

this reminds me of the movie 300. When fighting eastern forces Leonidas said something like "they used their magic" and it showed the easterners throwing little bombs at the Spartans

They had partial charges in Tribunal that you had to use to clear the rubble in the tunnel. The last time i played it i was too young to get the details of it, but thinking back on it it seemed a bit extreme. No explosives, Tameral is a place that has no research and development teams, who constantly live in the medieval ages regaurdless of how many hundreds of years pass.

Flaming arrows on the other hand could be cool, but you would need to have an engine capable of brush fires too.

I think that this is an awesome idea. I would love to see some explosives. They had satchel charges in Tribunal so it fits lore. Maybe even a launcher that can launch bombs like a grenade launcher.

Son, i am disappointed in you. NO EXPLOSIVES IN SKYRIM OTHER THAN MAGICAL

im all for it, i want a little more weapon variety and the purists can svck my [staff of chaos]

honestly im just a huge zelda fan and my first play through any rpg is a jack of all trades hero type [if im allowed to be], so explosives,bows,spells,1h/2h weapons are all fair game for me.
if they have added functions like taking destroyable walls and supports then that would be BADASS!!!
im for crude explosives! hell yes!

I'm with fire arrows for sure.I'd like it very much to be like Dark Messiah, where you can light the arrows by holding them into the fire.

As for explosives, first of all,in a fantasy game I don't think gunpowder related weapons should be considered "advanced weaponry" or "devastating weapons". There are games where pretty advanced firearms are fighting BY bows.Personally,I like such games better than "fantasy = medieval" games, but I really cannot guess how it'd look in TES.As for crude explosives,I don't think they'd be lore breaking at all,but they are such a bonus feature...Meaning they'd come very late if I made a list of what I'd like in TES.

Tameral isn't Greece, 'medieval' in my reference wasn't a strict Earth based time frame, and i was simi-joking..

Just like if you don't want to be seen, invisibility is the answer and if you want to open locks, open spells are the answer?

That's a pretty good/original idea.

If it isn't original, then i never played the game that had anything like this (I don't think)
