Azura and Baar Dau

The elder scrolls creation myth is original in that it is not a positive, but a negative, a downward spiral of creation.

Some say Lorkhan tricked the Aedra, and as an Altmer I resent them but Lorkhan most of all.

The Daedra are closer to the Altmer ideal. But finding one worthy of worship, though maybe that is the wrong word, is a tricky task.
It is logical that an Altmer proficient in the arcane has a lifespan so close to immortality as makes no difference.
So finding the right power to ally with, though that may be the wrong phrase, is important.

I aim to increase my knowledge and power, but not at any cost. Though I have a ruthless streak when it comes to achieving my goals I do not ally with the negative, the destructive.
It would be horrible if I were a power for Azura in Tamriel, only to have her long term machinations result in the the opposite of all I hold dear.

And besides, look who it comes from, lol.

A venerable sage.

Nice quote, lol. I disagree with it, though. And besides, look who it comes from, lol.

I stand by my selfish theory, lol. They all proved their intentions before the world was created.

A venerable sage.

That's context for ya.

You know who shares your beliefs? Ayleidic royalty, specifically late-Ayleidic royalty. Like Umaril.

Daedra worshipping Altmer are subservient fools. We are gods. Why should we worship other gods?
