The Dwemer were secular and anti-theist, not at all like the historical Jews, who were descended from polytheistic tribes initially and later became an early example of monotheism. The beards are the only very superficial resemblance.


I had typed up a reply to him yesterday, but then decided to scratch it. Didn't feel like actually replying, lol. But while I agree with you regarding the beard, he was somewhat correct in the Dwemer font being similar to characters in Hebrew. That isn't to say, however, they (Dwemer) are really in any way similar to Jews or Hebrews.

I'm loving this thread. I've never had much insight into the Dunmer/Dwemer/Altmer races, it didn't even cross my mind that they would be tied to the Assyrians/Sumerians. It's also fair to draw comparisons with Altmer and Greeks, seeing as the Imperials seem largely based on the Romans and they too borrowed from the preceeding cultures.
