To those who have played:

Monday Night Combat Syndrome.

I, in the UK, am awaiting my copy. I'm ignoring reviews and am ready to enjoy the game but I'm trying to get a heads up from those who have played.
For those that didin't play MNC, it was a short multiplayer arcade title that ended up as a class shooter that was likened to Team Fortress.
It's 'Syndrome' was that every iXXxxxSn1p3i2xxXi wannabe ran Assassin, to the point where an entire team would consist of assassins and you wouldnt have a chance against a balanced team.

My question being, therefore, does BRINK suffer from this same phenomenon?

Over the days I've been watching the game until release I've been a little skeptical that everyone is going to run Operative because they think that you must be l33t if you do.

It's not going to change my mind of the game but it would be nice to get a heads up if I'm going to have to be the only one switching between Soldier and Engineer or if I can rely on the general public to be more helpful.

Hope no one takes this in the wrong light, good Operative players will sure be useful but a balanced team is also important and I dont want to be the only one switching to meet needs.

The teams ive played have been balanced enough.

If I had to guess what the most dominant team would be.... I'd say 5 medics to constantly keep everyone alive, 2 soldiers to give everyone ammo, and one guy switching to complete/defuse objetives.

The lone wolf class will be soldier, operative is pretty useless i think. You have to be able to give yourself ammo, and the the combination of extra grenade power/splash, faster grenade refill, faster supply refill and scavenge supply means you can really abuse the underslung grenade launcher to help you take on multiple enemies.

Well if people wanna stay at level 1 by killing people of which are not necessary to their current objective, let that be.

I played it quite a bit yesterday and fell inlove with it. I dont believe it suffers from one class being 1337 or OP per say, but i do think a lot of people havent adjusted to a truly class based team and objective oriented game yet. A lot of people play it like a tdm shooter, like cod, which just makes it easier to kill them and accomplish objectives if you use teamwork. I play as a medic and consistently am near or at the top of leaderboards in games because i utilize the medics abilities. There are many ways besides getting kils to earn xp and more importantly a victory

Well said. I played a game with some friends yesterday and I was the only medic. At the end of the match they were all like, "holy [censored]" you got more XP than all of us combined. All I did was heal heal heal, buff buff buff, and shoot shoot shoot.

A medic with a Shotgun and a SMG secondary is a leathal SOB. Medic FTW!!!
