Splash! Please read and give us some feedback

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 12:03 am

This topic is being created because I have read several forums with complaints/issues but have yet to see a single Splash rep comment on a single thing. Gamers please DO NOT complain about how the game svcks, that your pissed you bought the game, etc.... This is a topic for those of us that have faith in the game and realize that games have issues post launch that can and need to be fixed. If there is something not on my list please feel free to add your comments, but lets not make this a bashing topic to attack Splash and Bethesda. We just want some feedback so we can continue to have faith and enjoy playing Brink.

1. Address lag issues. I know it varies from game to game and console to pc, but please review your game logs and address this problem. Maybe have some of your testers play online to try and recreate the problem. The lag isnt 100% of the time, but when it does happen it makes it impossible to play and is very frustrating.

2. Lobby system or party lobby. Yes you can get into games with your friends or xbox party but from my experience and comments I've read, this is a pretty hard task to complete and almost impossible at times. Most of us wont continue to play multiplayer games if we cant play with our friends. This issue can be a simple fix. Create a lobby so we can join with friends or at least have time to invite them before the game starts. Dont expect us to rely on joining a game that isnt full. If people complain about trash talking within the lobby then disable the voice in the lobby, simple fix. But give us a better option to play with our friends, end of story.

Again there may be more issues that I havent experienced so please comment on them. And there are some things that we all wish they would improve (Clan system, more game modes, maps, etc..) but those arent issues preventing us from play. We just want answers and it'd be nice to know that Splash cares about its gamers and wants to address the problems that make this game less enjoyable and harder to play. Thank you. And please keep this topic bumped so we can keep it at the top of the list for Splash to see.

I've seen what look like some legitimate concerns (the lobby/lag/texture issues on XBox), but I'm also hearing a lot of things that sound like people just missing the point badly.

Here's hoping a big chunk of the feedback is "yeah, we did that on purpose," with the legitimate problems addressed properly.

I can't comment too much myself yet, because the game's not out here until tomorrow. I'll be paying off the remains of my pre-order later today though.

Cool. I think that so many people WANT to love this game, that every small change will make a huge difference to us all.
