Souls used by Daedras

Do we know what the Daedric Lords use human souls for? And is it possible for a human soul to travel to a daedric dominion after death?

Dasedric Lords have infinte souls of their own. Some of them collect ours as a hobby though

And mortal soulds can be bound to pinces, but it's not common.

Food maybe? I dunno.

As for you second question, yes, a mortal can go to a prince's realm upon death if said mortal was bound to the prince. Case in point, Paradise.

I think it amuses the Daedric Princes to collect souls. Some of them see the souls as new followers/worshipers. Others probably enjoy tormenting them. Molag Bal comes to mind. Maybe others like Clavicus Vile simply enjoy possessing such things.

Are there any examples of that?

Ever play Oblivion? The realm you go when chasing after Mankar Camoran? That place is referred to as Paradise, and mortality works like that when bound to a prince. As for how, probably by pleasing the prince enough that it will let you tether yourself to that prince.

When I first played Shivering Isles I thought that all the people there were people who were mad and then died and ended up there. But then I saw ghosts in it as well so I am not sure

No, they're just mortals hanging around the SI and somehow wandered in or were invited in. Azuras realm, for example, contains a lot of khajiit and dunmer, as they're her biggest worshipers, but I doubt a lot of them are bound to her.

The ultimate purpose of the Daedra Lords is to instruct and improve the generally deplorable character of mortals.

Also as seen with enchanting items (at least in Morrowind) souls can recharge magical items. One soul may power an enchantment and whole lot of souls may power an entire floating city (see Infernal City) so that's your power play amongst the Deadra Princes. Although also you could say that they don't actually want the soul itself but want more worshippers to strenthen them, if indeed more belief = more power. Although maybe worshipping is similar to owning their souls, just indirectly and with more independence on the part of mortals (and hence maybe weaker). Possibly?

Also in the novel, i believe the closer you are to a deadric lord then you can consume souls ? Purified essence of soul is all the rage apparently

Says the Daedra Lords, whom being Daedra Lords would have no idea what their ultimate purpose is.

Paradise.

Another example; the Hill of Suicides. Even if only Isles inhabitants who commit suicide go there.

Also to point out a technicality, Pacal_II, daedra is plural and daedroth is singular

So?

Unless we're having a discussion on bygone grammar, it doesn't matter (and I think the quote that points out that daedroth is in fact the singular version also points out that nobody uses it anymore, which makes it correct not to use it as using dead language which would only confuse people is improper).

Correction: says a sage.

So, if someone dies in Oblivion, what happens? Where does their soul go?

Dreamsleeve, unless that person was bound to a prince.

I concede. For some reason I thought that was a Sheogorath/Haskill quote.
