Longevity, Game Modes, etc

For this game to last, bethesda, and SD needs to introduce more ways to play into the game (only objective based of course). The story driven game modes are great, but it really isnt needed, and after playing them 2 or so times through, I can care less about them. We need some CTF, control point, defense games (such as what they have already where you defend the object as it moves through the map) etc, that play through the same no matter what faction you are on, but are a little more straight forward (ie you go into a game knowing what you have to do, like capture the other teams flag, or hold control points the longest, or get object to point A while the other team trys to defend etc)

I think it will be a good idea to implement some of the features the game already has into classic game modes such as ctf, i like the feature the one map uses where engineers can construct a wall making it harder to get to the crane controls, but the soldiers can destroy them, they could use this in ctf, or even defense games.

What do you all think, are there any other ideas you all have?

I tend to agree with you. But I think the root of the issue might be more with the map sizes than with the number of maps.

For instance when BFBC2 came out it did not have a lot of maps and only 2 game modes yet the game did fine. I think it did well due to the size of the maps which allowed for players to play the map in vastly different ways. For all of the 'free running' that Brink was supposed to have it seems that there just is not enough room in the levels. I don't want some sort of epic sized map like BC2 but spawn run pew pew kill/die seems to be the bread and butter of this game. Maybe I'm too old to enjoy the fast pace of it or something idk.
