Here's why this game is good...

Post » Fri Feb 25, 2011 12:07 am

I was so frustrated with this one mission where I had to hack the missile control. The problem was, I didn't know how to be an operative correctly. I just kept getting killed while standing next to the control trying to hack it. SO, I figured out that if I disguise myself, I can plant a hack box on the controls. The big thing is that I don't have to stand out in the open while hacking. I learned that I can hide in the little hallway next to the control and hack way without being bothered. It took a little longer because I was farther away, but I completed the mission on the first try.

THis is a good example of why this is a great game. I had to actually think about a solution. Instead of complaining that I kept getting killed to quickly, I found a work-around.

Cool story bro?

Thank you SD....I get it now

I agree, one of the things I find really endearing already is that there are no easy solutions, just a bunch of options with fair trade offs.

Too bad my teammates in the Hard Campaign don't think like that.

...this is all good and well but it still doesn't fix the problems with the majority of the game. Intent is fine, ideas are great, but cars and trucks don't run on good intentions and games don't play well on good ideas. Thats why betas and polishing are so important. And this game needs a lot of it.

It's day two, friend. You don't fix the fuel injection, fuel pump, and fuel tank in an afternoon. I'm sure they're not all sitting around, patting themselves on the back going "Car well done!"

I didn't say anything about any problems the game may have. I was just starting a thread talking about something the game does right....Makes you think and solve problems.

There are plenty of threads with people pointing out all the game's flaws.

Brinks needs MOAR latency & graphics fixes, otherwise the game is fantastic.
