When will they release patch?

hey guys so I've been playing Brink on my xbox and I must say its great at times but lacks at other... 1st off theirs constant lag as everyone knows but more so whenever there seems to be a lot happening the graphics down grade A LOT.. I was watching videos of the ps3 and pc version they both look much better in my opinion :(. Another thing is the hit detection again seems to be off as when you shoot it deosnt seem as your hitting them right away? but again that might be lag. Besides that their are some small issues for example when you try switching weapons from a sniper to something it sometimes stays in scope?!? or it'll randomly stay in scope?!? Am I the only one that has noticed this?

anyway Brink could be a GREAT game... and It'll be such a shame to see at anything but what its capable of... so i was wondering if SD would be releasing a patch and if so when?

From their blog posted today.

Xbox 360

We’ve now put up our first game update on the Xbox 360, which went live at launch. It addresses several of the issues raised in some of the early US reviews of the game and brings with it some major improvements.

Most importantly, this update significantly reduced texture loading times thanks to improved hard-drive caching. It also improves client prediction when playing online – in other words, you’ll experience much less “rubber banding” in multiplayer. We’ve also fixed several issues that could lead to the game freezing, and resolved an issue where Brink would insist on playing all of the training videos rather than just the introductory one.

If you’ve not yet got the update, simply restart the game while your Xbox is connected to the internet.

We’ve also been getting new reports of lag when playing online, especially in matches with lots of human players. We’re all huge multiplayer fans here at the office and we know how important a lag-free online experience is. We’re urgently investigating this issue and seeing what we can do to improve things in that area. Stay tuned.

Information on PS3, PC, and the game’s upcoming statistics site after the break…

I give Splash Damage 100% props for implementing the system where they can tweak and fix certain things without having to go through patch certification on consoles (Sincere thank you for thinking that way). That's a big deal. Hopefully they'll take care of the lag and we'll have something playable until they come out with some redeeming DLC.

One thing I WILL say is that PEOPLE ARE ROUTING FOR SPLASH DAMAGE & BRINK

Don't let us down.

I think a new patch will probably be next week at earliest.
