How to add a FPS cap? : Othor Games

So my video card gets really, really hot in the menus of this game I need to cap the FPS somehow. It's getting to the point I have to minimize for a minute or two so my card drops about ten degrees C or so otherwise it crashes. Any help?

Vsync might work but it's an older video card so I don't think I want to take the FPS hit in the game.

As for cleaning and better cooling - Its pristine and I can not do anything further for cooling aside from adding a water cooler which I'm not willing to do. I even made an exhaust for the thing

If there is a way to add a simple FPS cap that anyone knows please let me know. That's the best solution for the time being.
