Magnar is a less used name for Magnus, one of the larger Et'ada (by far the bigest Magne Ge,) and he radiates out all the magic in the Aurabis since that is his sphere. Some people tie him to Shor And Dagon, but i'm still a skeptic about that.

Kalpas are cycles of the creation and destruction of Mundas. it gets made in the manner that i'm sure you know (if you don't read the momomyth for basics) and then Auriel/Auri El/ Akatosh/ Alduin gets hungry and devours everything.

I would only like to point out that "kalpa" in the TES texts is the closest possible translation of that Aurbic idea into a real-world term. Remember that with some subjectivity (and less literally) and things will get easier.

Well, no they won't, they'll just get more mystically opaque. But that's part of the point.

So why is it that in "Shor son of Shor" Magnus is killed? How does this correspond to other myths?

How does this correspond to other myths?

Magnus leaves Mundus, through the way called death. In the Aldmeri myths, Magnus leaves in disgust, but he is "diminished" for leaving this way. In Shor Son of Shor, his host is inspired to leave Mundus. They are the collective Magnar brings, through the sky, to the following earth; and the battlefield (earth and sky) is covered in the dead. The dead have left Mundus. These are your Magne Ge.

^ and that is why people often, and falsely, say that when you die in TES you go to Aetherius.

There's a sense of "we belong up there," among Atmoran traditionalists. And should we wonder why? Kyne is strong, Mara is pitiful; Nords are sky walkers, not earth tillers.

They are the collective Magnar brings, through the sky, to the following earth

Should say They are the collective Magnar brings from the earth, to the sky. That's perspective, for you. Tamriel's an amalgam of planes.

And why doesn't Shor, father of Shor fight Shor, son of Shor? If he is Alduin he should be the enemy.

Is souls don't go to Aetherius were do they go?

Souls are recycled in the Dreamsleeve. Each drop returns to the pool, whence new souls are drawn. Aetherius is a name for the Dreamsleeve. It's the mastermind - a collective consciousness - behind a human narrative, called history.

Dreamsleeve. It's the soul recycling center of mortals, that scrubs away all memories and experiences. Think of a mortal's soul like an etch-a-sketch. As their life on Mundus goes on and on, a more and more detailed picture is drawn, becoming something like http://cdn2.holytaco.com/wp-content/uploads/images/2009/10/2516831116_38b6ae23b5.jpg. When a mortal dies, the etch-a-sketch is shaken up, and goes back to its http://www.jitterbuzz.com/toyfil/etch.jpg, where a new picture can be drawn.

However, I disagree with Kuklos. For me, I believe it's a soul collective bound to Mundus, separate from either heavens.

Daedra, on the other hand, are more of a piece of granite, whose image is never really wiped clean, and constantly chiseled at.

And what are the trick-mirror things in the texts?

What made you think he didn't?

And what are the trick-mirror things in the texts?

The mirrors are the perspectives of race, through their pantheons.

So the dead become "stars" which are actually small holes in...something...and they let in magicka? If so, how is a soul recycled? Is it's "star" removed

-EDIT-
I don't expect you to tell me the details of soul recycling, just gimme an idea if you have one
