You know what Splash Damage has done with Brink?

They have made a shooting game that doesnt encourage or really allow those camping dikes to prosper in. Upon this revelation i have to bump my personal review from 85/100 up to 95/100. Good job on that one very cruical improvement over so many other games. The way this game flows during combat is great. If someone already addressed this I apologize in earnest. I don't hit search bars, for I am new money and I have people and apps for that.

You do realize the maps are practically made for the defending team to camp right? Hell I've seen bots blatantly stand still next to doorways and camp while I was on the defending side.

I do agree greatly as they, being SD, have really encouraged movement to be crucial in 'moving' forward. I believe one of the many reasons that has helped encourage this movement is the ability to slide tackle and knock down opponents while also being able to slide into cover or slide and shoot, fortifying the assurance that sprinting will garner you a kill just as much as walking around the whole map, if not make your team win faster.

@Aerograt: I believe the statement was meant to say that it has helped lower the number of campers on both sides to a minimum so you won't have camping on either side. Also with some maps there is a benefit for the defending team to rush out and not just sit at the objective, giving them breathing room as the time ticks down.

And yet we can't sprint and shoot at the same time while we're forced to use movement slowing ADS for the maximum damage output.

Defending is not camping though. If you are near your objective and doing your best to hold of attackers your doing what your supposed to be doing. What I am saying you dont have a *rick around every corner trying to pad his KDR trying to score a nuke or a gunship with laser guided cannons, Like i said no one has complained about what you said.

Have you thought of slide tackling being an effective combat alternative then shooting the dazed enemy? They've made it so sprinting isn't underrated but also not overpowered (F.E.A.R. anyone?).

Camping is not the same as holding still. At the same time you can not confuse defending a static objective as camping.

You slug it out or near the objective until it is complete, move to next or push the attackers back. It's all about the objective and your team, team death match is dead to me. Good riddance. There are so many other ways to get XP beside just mowing down fools. Repair something, hacking or setting charges etc while the enemy is landing rounds all around you and when you finally complete that objective is a rush and fufilling when you do, and not with just XP. Moving your team forward threw the maps, always under fire and threw intense firefights is just a blast.

As far as I can tell there is no way to spawn camp. I watched one of my teammates try it over and over, but the spawn points are protected by indestructible turret guns. I got gunned down just sprinting past one. From what I've seen most of the time is that the attacking team treats guarded objectives like it was Halo, just run in and try to kill the defenders without thinking about it. It usually ends in them dying... quickly. Run and gun only works to an extent, but the guarded objectives require teamwork and a bit of finesse on the attacking teams part.
