Thanks, i realized, that Mnemoli helps in CHIM - deification?
Arynel's post should be consulted. Mnemoli is the interval god. She is the star-note, who is otherwise missing from the regulation of Time. The regulation of Time is the beat of the Doom Drum; the stars of the Heavenly Cord play to the time signature of Akatosh, and the drum and drummer are one. However, discord is the original stasis, whence came all et'Ada, where Mnemoli is. When the Drum breaks from the beat, Mnemoli enters the music. She can be heard, in all five quarters of the World.
Here, Doors of the Spirit tells us, the Heart is bound by the music of Time and Space:
The Ancestors are not departed. The dead are not under the earth. Their spirits are in the restless wind, in the fire's voice, in the foot-smoothed step. Pay heed to these things, and you will know your absent kin.
Each bone is a door through the wall of the world. Each bone is the road, with Wisdom and Power the travelers. Each bone is the ghost fence that guards us from evil.
The sounding tones of these seven, moreover, made a music, the "music of the spheres," to which the notes of our diatonic scale correspond. There was also a metal associated with each: silver, mercury, copper, gold, iron, tin, and lead, in that order. And the soul descending from heaven to be born on earth picked up, as it came down, the qualities of those metals; so that our souls and bodies are compounds of the very elements of the universe and sing, so to say, the same song.
Music and the arts, according to this early view, were to put us in mind of those harmonies, from which the general thoughts and affairs of this earth distract us.And there's more, because this permeates every level of the myth (Tonal Architecture). And can I ask you about the enantiomorphs? If Lorkhan-who-is-Akatosh is enantiomorph of Aurbis, Anu and Padomay can be enantiomorph of AE?
The interplay of the Enantiomorph is even closer to mortals than these yet distant figures. The battle between Anu and Padomay is within them;
Masser and Secunda therefore are the personifications of the dichotomy...
set in the night sky as Lorkhan's constant reminder to his mortal issue of their duty and
this Heart is the Heart of the World, for one was made to satisfy the other. Akatosh and Lorkhan quantify the conflict; the two make the myth (mythopoeia) physical (as above, so below) - which is to say understandable to mortals - through symbolism (i.e., "the music of the spheres," the Six Walking Ways, ethics, gods, etc.). The Aurbis is the myth of the Enantiomorph (i.e.,
the temporal myth is man,
that all the Interplay is one flea of assertion on a wolf of naught).
yep, wonder if I missed something... :teehee: I'm sorry this wasn't formatted well, but I can't be here all day. Job searching, again.
