incredibly awesome for all playstyles, especially the assassin-minded players, as it is uttered in a whisper.
However, there's a lot of ways it could be implemented - for instance, will it always be context sensitive?
Mass Effect 2's Vanguard class had a "Charge" ability that was basically a teleport, but could only be used if an enemy was properly
targeted. Speaking for myself, this kind of took away from the utility of it - still one of my favorite moves to be sure, but being able to
teleport to cover sans enemies would have certainly been nice.
The opposite end of the spectrum, though same as the first option not necessarily bad, is that you Teleport forward X amount of feet, passing through enemies without concern.
The disadvantages to that system are
1) It allows you to overshoot your enemy - which I actually consider a good thing, its the opposite of dumbing down. Requires skill and practice.
2) Far harder to program for Bethesda - may end up with more game breaking glitches this way, getting stuck in walls, outside the world, ect ect.
A middling ground between the two would be to use the default Teleport forward X amount of feet, but if there's an enemy roughly in front of you it'll teleport
you behind it. A valid option to consider, although falling prey to the Golden Mean logical fallacy is a danger here, heh.
So, which system do you support? If it's "none of the above", please post your alternative below. There's a lot to consider, pros and cons for all. For instance,
only having the Shout warp you behind an enemy would disallow use for non-combat movement, like teleporting from one darkness-shrouded hiding spot to
nearby one, just as a patrol checks the spot you were in a mere moment ago. Post your thoughts and suggestions!
